it would be no problem to use the 1080P OC kernel from finless rom 1.7
what the real problem here is the boxes who cannot run this config are NON original MiniX boxes.
altrough you won't believe it, they make copies right now of the neo x7 in China with much cheaper chips then the original ones. The best option then is to use the 1080P 1.8 Ghz CPU, 600Mhz GPU and 400 MHz MEM. This works for those imitation boxes. You can set the speed on 1.6 Ghz CPU as default.
in your rom in setting menu there is an overclock solution build in to make it extendable to 1.8 Ghz.
with this the solution is made.

Oh what also can be done is the following.
I can make a setup for you and after that you just restore that image by CWM recovery.
this will make a lot of end users happy, they simply need to restore this image, setup language.
configure google account and then go to XBMC and setup language there.
then they are ready to go. It is the most easy way and also very fast.

please please please!!! I would really love to try it....

If that is not possible, can you explain to me the following:
I read that you first install the v.1.2.1 Justxbmc image and then the kernel from Finless (1080P 1.8 / 600 / 800) .
1 Why is that, can't you do it at the same time?
2 Is it possible that you make a short help, I am sorry, but I know how to flash, but I don't know how to only install a kernel....
3 Have you tried the Finless 1.7 ROM with the JustXBMC.apk? why is this configuration better?

    Thanks in advice...

I think I can answer 2 for myself. Can you verify that I need to go to ROM Flash Tool (supported with Finless ROM) and only select #4 (kernel)? The other (loader, parameter, misc, boot, recovery and system) have to be unchecked? is that correct?

Yes rom flash tool is used to flash kernel.
If you open te rom tool from the finless rom 1.7 you only fink on the option of the kernel.
right from the option to the kernel you can select one.

and yes frank this is a very stable working version. I noticed how good it worked and was thinking I shared it here, for people just like you. And offcourse for lewy and (finless) bob.

Lewy, I found a problem with your rom. A friend of me also have the neo x7 box.
with finless rom 1.7 he was getting audio over HDMI. With your rom not.
the TV he has is a Panasonic plasma full HD. Video works with 1080p @ 60hz.
but no sound over HDMI. I know this is a problem of the tv, but on finless rom 1.7 it did worked.
i made a solution for him to set sound over digital spdif. So no need for hurry.
but if you make a new rom maybe you could check this out. I mean this is not an error of the rom but more the age of the tv. Altrough it worked with the finless rom.

Or, you can go to the settings page, audio and unclick the DD/AC3 capable receiver radio button. Then it will send it as PCM.

                      Hi, can anyone tell me...

If I want to install the finless 1080p o/c kernel with this new justxbmc lewy ROM, what would happen if it was run on a 720p TV? Issues with playback, icons, etc, or no?

I am currently running Finless 1.7 ROM with o/c 720p kernel and lewys justxbmc .apk V2

I was just wanting to build it once, and have it done for when we get our next TV soon in 1080p.

Thanks for any input on this.

                        Hi there,
the best what you can do is the following. Download finless rom 1.8 + OC 720P kernels.
download the lewy justXBMC 1.2.1 after this you install lewy rom with rock hip batch tool.
after that power off the device, go to the folder of the of finless rom flash tool.
the rom flash tool has 9 different things to flash rom. You need only number 4 enabled (kernel).
on the same line you see the kernel, right of there you see an empty block.
when pressed there you can select the OC. Kernel you want.

Keep in mind that If You use 720p kernel you also need to flash number 5 (boot) too with a 720P boot.
you cannot flash a 1080P kernel with 720P boot and visa versa.
Thanks much, I didn't know Finless put out a 1.8 ROM, I will d/l it and redo the X7 with your method. thanks again.

Do not flash boot from difrent firmware.
                            Flash just the kernel.
Everything is possible if we work together!

Changed this to not flash boot.

                                Hello,
which OC kernel would be safe with still improved performance?

                                Thx
