Binary patched kernels for Pipo models

I just posted two ROM's for the Pipo M9 Pro yesterday and today. The 3.0 ROM contains kernel 406 and the 3.1 ROM contains kernel 407.

Any chance of having a batch of patched kernels with each version for user's to try?

Correction on the links. If you go to post 49 on the 3.0 thread, it has both kernels to download without having to get the whole ROM's.

Yes, of couse, but you can try my script and adapt voltage

My kernel :kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr667.img DDR voltage : 1250 mV (stock Volt)

If you have a lucky cpu you can try :

kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr720 : DDR voltage : 1300 mV

or maybe

kernel_cpu1704h_gpu600_ddr720stockvolt DDR voltage : 1250 mV (stock volt)

and for very Lucky CPU

kernel_cpu1704hmin_gpu600_ddr720stockvolt with minimum voltage for CPU

I just try the last kernel and s working great on my M8HD …... I score 20211 ... Good job ...

Flash kernel over M6Pro RileyROM 1.8

HOW TO INSTALL KERNEL:


1 - Extract the kernel...img you want to flash from the zip file
2 - connect the tablet (In OFF state, NOT STAND-BY) to the PC via USB cable
3 - Open riley Flash tool
4 - DESELECT all settings EXCEPT KERNEL.IMG
5 - Click on the column "..." of the flash tool at the height of the kernel.img, browse and select the correct kernel...img file extracted from the zip
6 - Press simultaneously power AND volume + of the tablet until the flash tool detects your tablet
7 - Press "Flash Rom" (DO NOT ERASE IDB)


The process is really fast, when it's complete the tablet automatically reboots. Now you can disconnect the tablet from USB and enjoy better performace and longer battery duration!

None of them work for me. After finished flashing the kernel, my tablet turned black screen. Then I pressed and hold the power botton. The unit boot up with stock boot graphic then it turned to recovery mode. I have to flash the original RR 1.8 kernel back on. After finished flashing, the unit returned to boot up with Riley boot graphic and work normally.

I have questions.
1. Do I need to change/ adjust the address of the other components as I noticed that all of your kernel have 4,295 KB in size but RR 1.8 kernel has size of 11,141 KB?
2. If it need to adjust the address because of the size of your kernel an RR 1.8 are different, what all the address supposed to be?

i use latest m9 pro rilley 2.7 rom

full range of possible value from stock to max of cpu-gpu-ddr would be great.

with rockchip device oc the cpu or the gpu don't good any good and stable result and most the times under perform the device (i do many test many month with many voltage and kernel) only to boost the ram speed give a real usable and stable performance.

i could reach 14500 on my mk808b original without fan,on stock heatsink and pcb in is own original plastic case. with this unlocked kernel cpu scale from 252 to 1600 ondemand, to achieve the best result overall with any rom i use the cpu_stock-gpu_stock-ddr_466 kernel and in dmesg ddr calibrate to real 428mhz

if cpu or gpu freq is touched it under perform to +/-12000 of antutu

for now in my m9 pro 2.7 rilley rom stock kernel ddr is set to 300mhz it's slow as hell for ddr3
(very fast,stable and good rom rilley,many thx by the way, your the man)
with this rom we are suppose to step from +/-18500 to +/- 22000 with a proper kernel that only higer the value of the ddr

maybe mo123 could give is magic kernel build trick to you?....

It is the same libril file.
I copied here again only for completeness.

To copy the libril file in the correct folder you need to enable system folder in R/W mode! Otherwise It will be impossible to copy the file.

Sorry if this is a stupid question - I'm still an Android noob... How do I enable the system folder in R/W mode?

EDIT: OK, I have got it working now. For anyone else that needs this info - I did more searching and located a post from Randy in another thread here that set me on the right track. I found that I didn't need to hit the Root Explorer button 3 times like Randy said but all else worked as per this post. Maybe my version of ES File Manager/Explorer is newer?

Here in the following are new kernels for PIPO M6pro and RileyROM 1.8 (or Kitkat stock ROM dated february 13rd or february 20) generated from new source files (again many thanks to user maakie that prepared the original kernel from I generated these mods),
This new issue improves, as maakie says:


* Battery indication when charged from off condition
* other minor changes


The Kernels with the "V1" indication have the new lowest frequency set to 216Mhz to save battery (all new kernels except "CPU_STOCK")

NOTE: To achieve the best performance it is better to set OFF the developers options.
To do this:
go on Settings -> development options (slide to OFF).

CPU STOCK (STABLE FOR EVERY TABLET)
cpu1704h_1325mV (GENERALLY STABLE)
cpu1704h_target_2.1 (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)
cpu1704h_825_users (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)
cpu1704h_VERY_LOW (STABLE FOR FEW AND LUCKY OWNERS)


ABOUT RAM:
ddr648 (MOST STABLE)
ddr672 (GENERALLY STABLE)
ddr744 (GENERALLY STABLE)
ddr768 (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)


ABOUT Battery duration:
cpu1704h_825_users or cpu1704h_VERY_LOW and RAM ddr648, ddr672 or ddr744 will give you the best ombinations for battery saving.
Ram set to 744Mhz has the LOWEST voltage (1.2V). For me is totally stable.
Ram set to 648 and 672 are set to 1.3V (Stock, for best stability)
Ram set to 768 has the voltage set to 1.25V somewhere in the middle.

You can use a kernel with slightly higer voltage (like 1325V version, it should be stable for you). You can use it with RileyRom 1.8.1 too. With 1.8.1 you do not need the libril anymore
