Another way to flash rom?/repair recovery

Is there another way of flashing a rom & recovery without entering recovery mode? (over adp?)

Think i've screwed up my recovery mode after trying a cwm recovery. Holding down the reset button when powering on no longer enters recovery mode on my k-r42 (and trying to reboot into recovery mode just shuts it down). I want to flash another rom (and rebuild a recovery mode).

Video issue

1.2.4 is the better of all firmwares out there.
I have K-R42 with PCB TN-BX09_V2.1 and so far everything seems to work well.
But, I have one issue that did not have it in 1.2.3 : video shuts off unexpectedly.
Either taped video from a server and/or live stream comes on and plays with no problem -HD or not.
But all shuts off by itself at different times ( sometimes 2 mins. later sometimes 15-20).
Any idea what's causing or how to fix it?

1.2.4 on ut1

hello,

i use 1.2.4 and it is great - i use the ut1 as tvheadend (live tv) xbmc client - i still have see some wrong pixels on HD channels but from the xbmc system info it looks like that i loose every 14 seconds the network card/cable and sometimes this causes movie freezer.

the cpu load is only at apx. 40% if i watch hd channels - so maybe the freezes are only related to the loose of network cable.

thanks wasser - it looks like i'm getting every time closer to get rid of my sat tuner boxes...

PS: which OC kernel can a try on the UT1 because there seems to be a special one by flashing 1.2.4 for the ut1

Hi Wasser,
would you expect those oc kernels to run fine on my new rev device?
all previous oc kernels did fallback to default cpu clocks so i am wondering if these new ones should work now :-)

the kernel [old rev 1800,720ddr]works great with lewys 3.2 and Beyond xbmc.1800,800ddr did not.

Hi, Wasser!
Tell me, please, what can be done for normal work my TV Box on your firmware 1.2.4?
Everything works, but very inhibited: the cursor moves jerkily, any action (transition to the next step, open, run) occurs after a while. I used kernel-720p-k-r42-old and kernel-720p-ut1.
Maybe there is an opportunity to fix it, help me, please, if possible.
My device is: cs918, TN-BX09_v2.1, 2013/05/31; 1329
