Minix Neo X7 - Finless 1.7 ROM

Thanks for the quick update with new firmware bob... I have installed it today and have two very annoying issues!

1. I'm not able to use any hdmi mode without my tv flickering. I have installed the 1080 no air kernel. When I select 1080p output hdmi mode tv starts to flicker every few seconds. This happens with whatever mode I select in settings.. Even 480p. But I never had this problem on your earlier rom and also just xbmc from lewy

2. WiFi is woefully slow.. Its so slow that I'm unable to even download YouTube app from market. I'm connected to same network from mobile, but no problem at all.. Is this connected to issue above?

If I want to check with another kernel do I have to wipe and flash everything new or only kernel is ok? How to flash just the kernel?

i mean if i set static ip on the neo x7

Yes. I set a static ip allways on my x7 no probs

Only new kernel must be enought.

There is a out of sync issue with HDMI Passthrough.... 30/50ms...
Maybe it s a stock firmware issue.

So you mean you are also having the screen on /off every few seconds?

Nope...Screen is fine... just out of sync sound with HDMI passthrough setting.
Sound is fine with RK default sound.

I think my eyes are getting old and tired but can anyone see very, very slight stutter on HD YouTube videos? Again, I might just be going crazy!

Got the glitter to. Try pushing the shutdown button. You see the sleep,shutdown and reboot menu.
Its realy glitter espec. With black background

Hi I'm new here on the forum and new to minix Neo x7. I'll bring home a x7 which I bought on ****. Is it just to follow guide that comes with image on the first page? If I want to flash x7

Will this rom work on my T428?

No love recently for many members using T428.
Will this ROM work, like other minix X7 Roms when flashed on T428?

Has anyone tried? Probability?
Mr.Anderson's XBMC ROM works great except for ethernet and missing navigation bar? Could different hardware needing a different driver/software fix wired ethernet working on t428?

Are you on stock kernel? I'm using OC and I wonder if it has the vsync fixes in it. Remember the Sdk 2 Roms were incompatible with the vsync fixes, I wonder if Minix stock is incompatible with the OC vsync fixes if they are in the OC kernels Bob has made?

I believe the stock kernel of 007 includes Sam's vsync fix by default. My assumption is based on the following:

• The ChangeLog for 007 says: 2.) Improved video playback quality;
• Bob's OC'd kernels lack the 'vsfsam' tag in the file name

The stock kernel seems to have Sam's fix in it.

I will make a set of OC 720 kernels. Give me about 1 hour.

I wish I could test Hulu+ but I do not have an account. Hulu seems to be an issue on many devices for some reason.

Also for some seeing flickering!
Try changing the LCD density to 160 and overlay to 1. I modded this ROM over stock and used LCD density of 240 overlay 0 instead of what Minix did. Might help on some TVs.

Ah, OK I'll have a look at the video when I get home again. Maybe I was imagining the stutter. Probably placebo as we're so used to it on the Rk3188.
