I can only answer part of your question. Yes, the passthrough mode works well in MX player. I never use any crop function so I can't say.

Let me start by saying hello, and mentioning that my X7 is on order. My experience using windows 8.1 with Ouya cube and Equiso stick are as follows.
1. Driver signature verification needs to be turned off.
2. Needed to go to device manager and choose browse my computer to pick driver.
3. Universal adb driver worked for one but don't remember which.

I have a problem with the sixaxis controller. Probably blue tooth does not work well in this rom. Does anyone have a solution?

I'm also having this problem. I never had this issue with the 005 based firmware, but when I flashed fineless 1.7 rom it didn't work anymore.

Just got my X7 and installed your ROM with no problems and it works great so far with the exception of sixaxis app to hook up my ps3 remote. I followed the directions, checked the keyboard to sixaxis, updated the bluetooth address and still can't get it to connect. Can there be a problem with it thinking this is a samsung device and not an X7? It says touchscreen device created successfully which this for sure isn't. I really like your rom but may have to downgrade to the stock one if this is the problem. Other than that it's been killer! If I can fix this I owe you some of this

Please kindly advise is it possible to use MX Player with this firmware with full use of video resizing options (especially CROP mode) and in the same time audio in pass-through mode. Also what about the Pause/Start button of NEO A2 remote? In 006 these functions are working. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply! In my case when I tried 007 the resizing function of MX Player was working only in HW+ mode but in this mode disappears audio passthrough. Is anybody else able to comment? Thanks!

Logitech c310 webcam not functioning?

Hi all, my Logitech c310 webcam worked fine on the stock rom, but since installing Finless 1.7 I have yet to get the Minix Neo x7 to detect my camera at all, (I believe.) Actually, in Settings>Sound>Device Manager, a USB device is detected as an audio input device, and I imagine that's the webcam. However, is there a video device manager for Android somewhere? When I activate the regular camera app, the webcam fails to activate. If there's a webcam that does work with this rom, please advise.

I believe this can be a fix to the nasty "out-of-sync" or "frequently reconnecting to tv" bug that i have been reporting for long..

can you provide an optional boot.img & 1080stock.img ? i have setup everything in the rom and now dont want to erase everything and try the stock firmware. If you can possibly provide these alternates, it will be easier for me and others with this bug to try it out without losing data/apps/settings.

Thanks a lot for your effort.. even with the nasty screen issue, i am still enjoying it

No. It is exactly the same Rom with same kernel and only 2 lines changed in build.prop. Only 1 relevant line overlay is set to 0.

fyi, last night, I performed a test wherein I unplugged the usb connector to the camera, rebooted the Minix, then plugged the camera back in and it seemed to work, (in the stock Gallery/Camera app, anyway.) After the device was asleep overnight, this morning I tried using Google Hangouts, and the Camera failed. I then tried Gallery/Camera app and it still failed to load, this time crashing Gallery/Camera app when it tried loading the camera device. I then unplugged the camera, rebooted, replugged, and the Gallery/Camera app still failed in the same manner. I'll try more tests tonight and report back.

No ROM has performed better so far. But i had my first shutdown last night. While leaving a 50 minute video to run, i fell asleep. Woke up finding the TV has shut down due to its timer, i come back from work, and X7 doesnt respond. I had this on the 005 times, it would just shutdown.

There a few things that Minix never took care of, i think all due to them not being spotted. I had them since day 1 with this device:

Youtube app, after searching, it will just scroll down to the bottom link of the results, weird.
Play Store, this is weird as well, the first APP i update from it does something strange, every time i update an app, it will go to the page of the first app i updated, you have no idea how many times i uninstalled GMAIL by accident.
Wallpapers, i use APOD, in fact it is the first app i install on an android device. if it auto updates my wallpaper its all fine, if i do it manually, or through the gallery, it messes up everything, it forces the wallpaper in fit-to-view-all rather then fit-to-all-screens, and sometimes it wont update the real image and the grey minix one comes up. i just like my galaxies moving around the homescreen too much.

Flashed new kernel and boot just to test the 1080p version. Every time I try to run spotify it says "No SD Card Found". I also did get a notification at one point saying "Blank internal flash". What might have happened?

In settings>storage the NAND Flash is mounted. I can unmount it and mount it again. Can it be a problem related to spotify?

EDIT: Never mind! The NAND Flash works as it should. Re-installed Spotify and everything is working again... Sorry.

I'm using supersu... Estrongs file Explorer with root explore enabled, but can't seem to edit build.prop to stock setting of overlay and density...

I can't rename or can't change permissions...what could be the reason.? Can anyone confirm if they are able to edit or rename the file and how?
