k400 as well, screen changing is flawless, cursor lags sometimes.

I use a K400 myself and the only time I get lag is when the keyboard is far away or the signal is being blocked by something like my body! Please test with the K400 closer to the box with no obstructions and has good batteries! Also make sure the USB dongle for the keyboard is not blocked by the TV and has clear sight to the keyboard! I put mine on a USB hub and this solved weird lag problems by getting it away from the wifi antenna.

As if the tables have turned.

At first install and first boot, i had the green nuances (pixels) all over the desktop, now its fine.

Now it is screen changing thats horrible, even with the X7 remote that comes with it. Mind you that i use Apex, but i always have and never had this much lag. I have flashed the least overclocked kernel in all areas, minimum OC at CPU/GPU/RAM.

Also just had a shutdown while moving around the Settings page.

ps, Bob you should include some basic APK's, at least something for the DPI.

          Hello,
does anybody know if i can flash the original Minix 007e Kernel to this this ROM. Because I need eighter NFS or CIFS support in the Kernel.

You have both in this ROM. Just use BusyBox to mount

              Beutiful rom

For first congratulations for your great job. With this rom minix starts to be a good device.

              I have two problems:

              1) my video projector doesn't have a timer function to switch off itself while hdmi port is in use,
can I set sleep function of x7 to only switch off hdmi out instead of normal sleep function or something similar?
(I set sleep timer after 5 minutes but I want it only switch off hdmi out).

              2) I need AirPin app and I have installed 720p kernel with it but after some minutes it tells me the app is something like cracked and doesn't work anymore. Does it depend because "device will show up in google play as Samsung device not a X7" modification?

              Thanks in advance,

Why solve the same problem twice - especially if it has been working great with the MX player /stock player for a long time already.
That's a GREAT question that got me confused. I hope somebody read this and can tell us.

BTW, I tried overwriting Finless 1.8 libmedia (the hacked one) with Finless 1.6 libmedia (not hacked) and I still haven't got DTS passthrough... I can't believe I'm the only man on Earth who has this problem...

Re item 2, you need to email the airpin app owner (email is inside the app). You need to let him know that you are using an original Minix box with a custom rom that is spoofing the device name and also let him know your box's mac address (the one you are using - wifi or ethernet or both). He should then authorize your box in his autohrization server.

Ok thanks. I'll try to send email to waxrain. Have you done this for yourself?

the cursor lag is one issue, another is that it does not allow me to set the screen resolution to 1920x1080*60, very strange

Someone shoot me... I get tired sometimes of people that wont do the research!

                        It gets old...... Sorry.....

Hey Bob, I'm cureious - did you use a powered usb hub or not powered? I have a feeling the output power of the X7 might be low, my dac is also experiencing some pops and crackles. I'm guessing it's either not enough throughput or enough power. Since throughput on the usb port is not really fixable I'm consindering testing it with a powered usb hub.

                            My experiences so far:
                            - A2 airmouse: structurally unusable at any distance
                            - Logitech K520 working fine but sometimes keys get stuck
                            - Tascam USB DAC: Compatability is great, works great, but performance is unstable with pops, crackles and recently (2-3 days) it started to crash the box. (???)
                            - I have a Mele F10 Pro coming in soon, will report on that too.

I'm still on Finless 1.7 though, stock, air. I will upgrade in January after my holiday to Finless 1.9

I felt the same way since I am having really annoying problems with HDMI passthrough. I am starting to wonder if there is some hardware changes in the X7 so that we sit with different on-chip code or something that would explain why we are so few people who experience difficulties. Molle posted some good ideas that made sense and makes me take a huge leap and imagine that it actually also could be about the actual code/handling in the hardware that handle the HDMI output and how signals are sent on the HDMI port in particular.

As you probably know from other conversations, I mostly use XBMC here at home, So I do not have as many hours experiencing the stock player or the MX player, and I also have not had the opportunity to run a ROM for a longer time that does not include the libmedia.so hack since I bought my X7s quite late.

Do you run passthrough with HDMI or optical?

Have you tried simply to revert back to the Finless 1.6 you ran earlier without issues just to verify that everything works "out of the box" there again?

Bit of an effort to do so, but I imagine it would send a clear signal to the community that something has changed in later ROMs that break how Rockchip and Minix used to solve the passthrough earlier on at least SOME of our X7s.
