    - mpeg2 and interlaced streams (enigma2) sync and visual de-interlacing smoothness problems

    True, the first can also be corrected in the advanced settings.

    Regarding the second one...
    Do you think the hw-decoding mali400 can handle this (e.g. like openelec and XBian on the Raspberry pi)?
    I mean is it a matter of drivers?

    TIA
    Koying has already said that he has fixed the mpeg2 issue and that should be available to you in beta2.

    The audio offset of 250 I have had to change in every version of XBMC I have ever tried. (in OSD audio settings.) I only have to change it once and then click "Set as default for all videos" (can't remember if gotham did it).

    As you are the only person I have seen say the same offset as me I wonder if it is a hdmi delay issue with us or have other people had this also?

        If you know a way that satisfies everybody, shoot!

        But please, do not deface the apk. For one, I consider it rude, but it mainly brings confusion, as the app signature is not changed. So we'll see even more clueless users coming to the XBMC forums

                Bob, This new 1.8 ROM...

                Yowza! Man, is my X7 faaaaast, this thing is acting like a Win7 PC, but on @ 3watts.

                Finless 1.8 with o/c 720p 1704/798/800 wow, very nice!

                edit: just did new Antutu test this config= 20850 (highest ever & stable)

                A question to all regarding addon install (HUB-WIZARD) via fusion installer with Finless 1.8-ROM:

                I always use HUB-WIZARD on my XBMC setups, never a problem with any platform, XBMC V, etc Now recently, all Android only testing and tried several diff roms, all with lewy's justxbmc V2 .apk. hub-wizard and all other addons, no problem.

                Now, just after installing Finless 1.8 w/ stated o/c kernel, and again with lewys V2 xbmc, when I go to the fusion installer and ask to install hub-wizard, I get 'dependencies not met' and will not install.

                Never had this issue B4, any ideas or thoughts on what may be causing this error?

                  This is a known issue which can be globally remedied in advancedsettings.xml:

                  Code:
                  <advancedsettings>
                  ...
                      <latency>
                          <delay>-250</delay>
                      </latency>
                  ...

                    Yep, I agree, this advancedsettings entry tested here, and has worked perfectly for me to correct the problem on all my streaming shows, etc. that were previously 'off' sync. I have been using justxbmc apk v2 still after testing several others.

                      Thanks for that.

                      I can include that in any future build for myself but do you know if this applies to everyone on android or is it just this chipset?

                        I've had this issue on both a T428 and now an X7 when using HDMI for sound (decoded and passthrough). Can't extrapolate further than that. Both are RK3188 and probably share the same HDMI controller.

                          UPDATE:

                          OK, I found out what was going on, but don't know if this is a know issue. The reason it happened right after the Finless 1.8 flash is that, even though I had the ethernet cable plugged in for weeks thru all my testing of various roms, nothing was loading or updating in xbmc repo until I just now activated the wifi setting. now everything is updating and installing.

                          is there a known issue with using ethernet & 1.8 rom? because with my heavy streaming, i pretty much always use the thernet cable and have wifi off unless im doing a screen mirror or something.

                          if there has been issue and/or mention of this, could someplease show me where the message thread is, i havent found anything regarding this as of yet. but, at least for now i can proceed with my system setup.

                          this combo rocks on the X7 and i do not want to switch to anything else

                            I'm on ethernet only. I have never had any issues with any of the Finless ROMs I have used on my X7 (1.6, 1.7, 1.8).

                                Thanks to you both for posting, and yes... i agree, i have never had this issue on any Finless ROM previously either. Only posted this because it did happen and I was at a loss to know why.

                                At any rate, and for whatever reason, once the repositories updates and populated, along with xbmc-hub install, i was able to turn off wifi and i am now building the 1channel .strm library and have tested apps on ethernet with 100% performance.

                                No, i can't explain why it happened, but it did. i am just glad it all worked out because i LOVE this rom! People don't know what they are missing messing around with other Android devices, let alone apple-tv's and all their restrictions, low on-board ram, controlling aspects (even jail-broken).

                                With Bob's great work, the X7 really shines and is 'set free' to perform as it is fully capable of doing!

                                Another big THANK YOU to Bob and lewy for all that they do here for us all.
