Pipo M6 Pro RileyROM 1.6 [Last Stable Jellybean]

This ROM is based on an official Pipo firmware release dated 12/9/2013.

According to Pipo, this ROM includes some improvements in the deep sleep feature. I noticed the quick boot feature has been turned off by default.

Updated Google Play Store with compatibility fixes

Auto Install Apps from External SD (see this thread for details)

    As usual this ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    Init.d Support
    Busybox Support
    English Default
Working CWM Recovery installed after first boot
2, 4, 6, 8, or 12gb user app space by changing parameter files
    Boot Animation by Tattman65
    Reboot app by Petrus
Updated First Time User's Guide (Please read this guide before attempting to install the first time)
RKBatchTool included in the kit as an alternate way to reboot to flash mode (Switch button)
Rockchip driver installer app is now included in the kit

    Download

I've added a couple of additional tweaks to this ROM and uploaded v1.6.1. This version includes a change in the driver for 3G data to aid in better deep sleep battery savings. Also, I've increased the power on the wifi modem to improve connection. Just in case there are any problems with those two tweaks, I'm maintaining the original 1.6 ROM as an alternate to jump back to.

    v1.6.1

        It's done.

Give me a few minutes to upload. I've taken the link down for a while until the upload completes.

While I'm at it, I'm increasing the power on the wifi modem to improve reception.

While thinking about this, I've decided to keep both versions up for download right now.

If you don't care about the deep sleep feature or modem power, you can use v1.6.

I'm testing v1.6.1 right now with two little tweaks...replacement of the data driver for 3G to help with deep sleep, and an adjustment in modem power for the wifi signal. It will be v1.6.1. I'll add a link to that version as soon as I test it and upload it.

for wi-fi power increase, what exacly did you do?
Did you ONLY change the "txpower=" on build.prop ?

and are you sure that this stock libirl STILL prevent deep sleep function? (for M6 non pro seems working)

The wifi change wasn't in build.prop. Finless taught me a new trick that I agreed not to divulge. The stock firmware was set to 80% v1.6...and I changed it to 100% in v1.6.1.

I'm not sure that Pipo changed the libril file...I just changed it anyway in 1.6.1. If you want to test v1.6 and see, it's still available.

That selection has been removed from settings.

                            Could it also be reduced?
Because I'm going to change the wi-fi antenna with another one and I think I can reduce Wi-fi power to save battery.
The only other trick I know is using "iwconfig" linux command to change TX power...

The last but not least, why this "trick" needs to be kept secret?

Yes, I can also reduce the wifi power, if it would be beneficial.

The baseline is 80%...I increased the 1.6.1 to 100%.
