Could you please send my the file with wi-fi power decreased from 80 to 60% ? Just to test it with my tablet and the modified antenna?
In this way I think I could save battery...

Hi Pipo2000! Happy new year to you too!
As always you got the point!

Now I have the tablet opened waiting for my new 3G and wi-fi/BT antennas (both bought on e-bay, they are on route now).
My new Wifi/BT antenna comes from iPad mini (hope it will work...) and 3G comes from HP laptop.

I already replaced coaxial cables with low loss aeronautics ones (that are also a lot bigger, finger crossed to be able to close the tablet again, otherwise I need to change again the cables...)

I replaced also the battery (that was not fully efficient) with a new original one.

I made all the soldering directly on the motherboard...I was a little bit worried of it but for the moment everything is still working.
I'm still able to connect with my router even if the antenna is not connected if I remain within 2-3 meters from the router (I ruined the original one during soldering... it is very delicated...).

Ok, Randy thank you very much, I'll wait for a PM from you.
I hope I will have my new antennas within the week-end.
I would like to close the tablet very soon.

I will open a new thread to identify all the antennas inside the M6pro and eventually to change them, in particular 3G antenna seems not so sensitive...

              First Flash!

              Hello everyone,
I just joined up but have been reading since November when I purchased a M6 Pro 32 WiFi only from GeekBuying and have been *Very* pleased with the tablet as well as the prompt accurate service from Geekbuying.

I have been on stock until today, when I just flashed RR1.6 (80% wifi release). Nice. Thank you sooo much for all the contributions you have been doing for the Pipo users. I would like to send Randy a contribution but after looking around on Freaktab, I never found how to do it... Randy, can you direct me how to send you money? I was going to PM you but I thought I might post publicly as a reminder for any that can support Randy in his efforts....

              Steve

That sounds great. Looks like v1.6.1 is unnecessary unless you need to have stronger wifi signal.

                      Hello,

I bought m6 pro 32gb about 3 weeks ago and i used 1.5.1 ROM. Yestarday i updated to 1.6.1 (i think my question is also about 1.6). I noticed that after reboot MODEM POWER checkbox always turns on. I think it means that modem begin to consume power after reboot. And there was no such thing in original ROM. I really like 1.5.1 rom and i apprecite Randy for his great work! And i wounder if that somehow could be fixed?
I read (somewhere) suggestion that i must turn on AIRPLANE MODE and enable wifi (if i need it), but i still see that modem consuming power (yellow and red line in battery settings). And i am not sure that AIRPLANE MODE helping me in this case.
Of course this is not a great problem, and as i see that 1.5 and 1.6 roms working better on my device (on my opinion).
                      Thank you for your answer.

I noticed this also when you look at Settings / data usage / More / Mobile Networks, Modem Power is ticked and you can untick it but after a reboot it's ticked again.

Could you share the link to the battery- or at least specifications to find such on ****?
Did you consider to change speakers, too? There were a lot of shouting about these some time ago...

these are battery data (written on it):
                            PTI-01005000MC222S1P0000000-R
                            PL4574129P 37Wh 7.4V MD09

                            The battery spec are: 5000mA/h * 7.4V 37Wh

I'm not interested on changing speakers. For me the stock speakers are enough.
And I think I have soldered enough components inside my tablet .
Did you test Viper4Android App? This could help to improve speakers volume.

I will try today Viper4 app in the evening.
I just wonder where I can find battery with spec you provided. Will try to look for on ****- did you use some specific "key words" to look for? assume there are 2 batteries with specs you provided, connected?

So why dont you include the "stonger wifi signal" in the current 1.6 and have only this version available for download ?
