Review this thread for the kernels...links to them are posted.

To flash a kernel, use the flash tool. Uncheck everything except the kernel. Direct the flash tool to the kernel you want to flash. Then flash ROM without erasing idb.

The more stable kernels are the ones with overclocked DDR.

Try not to double post the same questions. I saw your post on the 1.7 thread...there aren't any custom kernels for the KitKat ROM yet.

You can re-enable this setting by changing a line in the build.prop:

ro.rk.resolution_enable=false, change to =true

After a reboot you will then have the option to select HD or Normal in the display settings.

Any improvement changing from hd to normal about game performance and browser scrolling?

I was downloading the kernels to try with the 1.6 RileyROM and downloaded the cpu z app to check some settings about my tablet.
And I jut saw that the cpu isn't the rk3188 as was suppose to be. Is this rk30sdk model the same or the guy that sold me the tablet fooled me with another cpu inside?
I am getting a 17300 antuntu with stock kernel, is this normal?

Randy I did a mistake:
also 1.6 has no deep sleep, these Chinese don't learn....
I don't know why I saw deep sleep working on this ROM.

So the possibility is still to change the usual libril file as you did on 1.6.1

I hope that as soon as an official Kitkat rom is released we will be able to find a solution to enable deep sleep there.
I suppose that the JB libril will not work on Kitkat.

This week-end I will complete my "Frankenstein" M6pro tablet (taking some pictures of its internal) and I could do some testing.
I will create a new discussion on 3G/Wifi/BT antenna replacement and ALL antennas relocation (GPS included) to improve sensitivity.

I have not even tried adding the libril file to a KitKat ROM yet...I was waiting to see what the baseline was with deep sleep.

Getting new pipo m6 pro wifi - which rom and kernal is best

Hello, I just ordered an M6 Pro wifi only 32gig. Which Kernal and Rom should I put on it when I get it for best performance?

Best for me has been the rileyrom 1.7 KitKat with the kernel randy supplies with it. It has been just darn stable for me. I about daily had to use the reset pin under stock pipo and also the rilely 1.6. Under the KitKat 1.7 Riley ROM it has been rare. I just today tried some of the other kernels and most of them had boot hangs for me, a couple couldn't make it through Antutu so I went back to the kernel randy has with the 1.7 I get a 19500+ score with it anyway and it has been so smooth..…
I do miss the GPS, that was one of the reasons I chose the M6 pro in the first place.... I'm using a fake GPS program to force location for some apps....

Also, make sure you check everything while still stock, like the camera, flash,wireless and speakers.... In case you had to send it back for some reason.....also make sure you read everything here and the first time guide and all before you flash.....
