Hello, when I unlock the tablet the notification bar and the bottom bar go away, I'm using the default launcher and I tried to install Apex and Nova but no luck to fix this, I can't find the option where to change this.

Also, with this ROM is the native resolution 1600x1200 or the maximum of the tablet? Where can I tweak the tablets resolution?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Fixed the first thing: Apparently you have to go to settings and drag up the notifications bar again

        Install questions

        Hi!
I've found a computer running Windows 7 now and installed RR 1.6.1 using the beginners guide.

When the Rom flash tool is finished the tablet reboots and it wipes cashe, SDcard and then it says "reboot..."
So it reboots, shows a new exciting Riley rom logo but then the screen goes black. I've let it been for a while thinking it may was booting or something. But nothing happens. I can see that the screen is turned on, but nothing happens.
The same thing happens if I reset and boot it again.

What did I do wrong? What is failing? Should I many try another Rom?
I've trying to install it some times now (erasing idb before flashing Rom)

        Thanks for your help

Try the 1.6 ROM and see if the same thing happens.

            Flashing a new kernel.....

Take a look on the specific thread (http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...-models/page24), but pay attention to install a kernel compatible with your Firmware version!
Giouncino, I recently flashed RR 1.61 but used his kernel. I have two questions. One, of the three kernels you have available for download, which one would you recommend to give me some more horsepower yet be stable? Two, can I flash only the kernel and not worry about having to back up my tablet? I believe the process is to uncheck everything in the flash tool except the kernel and then point it to the correct kernel, right? Thanks for your help. Jim

You are correct. You only have to check the kernel.

PIPO M6 Pro Bluttooth Problems Cured....

I was having a lot of difficulty pairing and connecting to BT devices with the original PIPO ROM and also with RR 1.5. After flashing RR 1.61, I am now able to connect to keyboards, speakers, headphones, laptop, etc. I don't know what is different in the latest 1.6X ROM but I am happy to get my BT connections working as they should be. I've also noticed fewer lagging issues on the tablet, and the boot time is quicker and I am able to use the tablet much faster after booting then ever before. Thanks for the good work Randy. I am sending you a few bucks to support your work. Best regards, Jim

I did the same procedure as yesterday (still with 1.6.1) but now I am stuck in bootloop with the Rileyrom logo instead (I let it sit the for about 5 min atleast) . Do you get any leads from this?

Currently downloading 1.6 to try it too.

                    EDIT:
So I tried flashing the 1.6 too. The same thing happens. Stuck in bootloop.
I really don't know what is wrong. I've done the same procedure over and over again. Same result.
What is supposed to happen when it's done flashing from the computer, the tablet reboots and formatting cashe and so on. (with the Android figure in the background)?? What should be next and why will that part not work?

Sorry for my dubblepost and thanks for the help!!

Hmmmmmm, are you sure you have an M6 Pro tablet? Or is it an original M6 Max? Somehow, I think you are flashing the wrong ROM. Soooooo many people with the M6 Pro have reported good results from this ROM. It appears yours is an isolated case.

Thanks a million, guys! I have now rileyrom 1.6.1 and Giouncino kernel + mounted memory to uhs sd card, antutu scores 18500-19500, and device seems quite stable. Looking forward to spank in kitkat, as soon release contains support for gps. I use this as second chart plotter in my boat, so it is a must.

Now, if we can just get some updates from Pipo, we can get KitKat running at full functionality.....

Glad to hear about your success!!!!!!!

Ooops, it was actually karmantuy's (starting with 825_). I totally confused kernels, as it was uploaded from a thread where Giouncino was very active... Sorry, lads.
I think I scored about the same with 1.6.1 package rom also, need to test it some day. I ran a new one when faced the issue with sd mounting.
