One thing you might try is to look for this line in build.prop

ro.rk.systembar.tabletUI=false

Change it to true.

Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to try.

I found the file... i change the variable... but i cant save!
I assume because it is used by the system at the moment!
Can you tell me an other way to save it perhaps?

Make sure you have root permissions turned on for your file explorer app. I use Xplore and it works just fine.

BTW, have you tried my new Jellybean ROM? v1.9?

So far viber is still activated... and i did it with xplorer as well.
Probably i gave only read rights to es expl...

So...viber seems ok, BUT the menu bar is not!
I can no longer hide it.


P.s.
By the way, because i m still a noob at that...now that i edit that file...the changes are made in Rom?
If i restore factory defaults, the change will be still there?

And as far as i see...in 1.9 there are problems.
When my tablet is here i will test it!
This one is not actually mine!
The owner gave it to me to try make it faster!

That's one side effect of making that change...you just have to decide which is more important...Viper, or hiding task bar.

I tried to flash this rom from 1.8 kitkat

1. Erase iDb using tool from kitkat then close after done.
2. Flash using tool from this rom
* in status window it resets the tablet but sadly the tab wont detect by the PC again

I tried to press the reset button, and other combinations with no luck

when your tab is off press (Vol+ and PWR) - ROM flash tool should detect your device with text "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage USB"

please read carrefully Riley's First Time User Guide (attached in ROM zip file), be sure you have all necessary drivers installed on your computer, repeat whole flash procedure and... it must run! Good luck

Not my first time... Anyway after leaving it connected to PC it gets detected after 3-5 minutes (not sure) flashing kitkat again maybe the tab don't want JB LoL... Thanks porthos

Its ok now running 1.8 RileyRom KitKat again.

If you mean before it doesn't power on nor charge (Because the problem occurs after I erase Nand)

What i did:
1. Pluged in wall charger
2. Leave it connected to the PC
3. After a few minutes it gets detected I erase Nand again and reflash kitkat

Flashing JB you have to tick Loader in Flash Tool - don't remember if its ticked by default.
