    Did you use the reboot app? I had the same problem.

    The solution is to flash a different misc.img. I will include it in the final version.

    For now to get into recovery...open a terminal and type su and enter (to get superuser confirmation) then type reboot recovery.

      If you go to the TWRP thread, I posted a link there for that misc.img file. Just flash it from the flash tool (don't erase IDB, and uncheck all other files...browse the misc line to the misc_system.img file.

          The problem isn't TWRP. It is the reboot app.

            About slower boot speed,
            I'm comparing .img files stock VS RR_beta_1.8

            Your system.img is 805Mb and stock (13rd February) system.img is 466Mb. Why is there such a huge difference?
            I suppose that this could be the problem of the slower power-on of your coocked rom!

                The larger system.img is based on the actual allocation of space in the original parameter file. I just grow the system to actually use all of that space, otherwise it can't be used at all. It allows for lots more room in the system to put additional tweaks.

                It can account for a slightly longer boot time...but with EXT4 it shouldn't be too bad.

                On first boot, there is a lot going on. So expect a longer first boot.

                  The problem is NOT the first boot,
                  It is now always slower than the stock rom in the order of 10-15 seconds slower...

                    Sorry about the off-topic

                    I need someone to test this TWRP.
                    if [ $up.post.type = $type.two.lazy.to_use_google ] || [ $up.post.type = $type.silly_question ];
                    then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
                    $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

                        Try the above.
                        And don't use the reboot apk

                          How can I get root access on stock rom with KitKat?

                          I tried everything...without success...

                          I would like to get it on stock to verify some features of the stock rom and to verify how Titanium Backup work on it

                              As far as I know TWRP is not present in stock rom, isn't it?
