Paragon mounter will show the location of the drive. Use root explorer to change the permissions of the folders (r,w,x) to that location. The drive will now be accessible. Still will not show it is mounted on cx-921 storage settings.

Hi,
I am new here.

I have only experience in flashing roms für smart phones. The first thing what I do with my new CX-921 is to flash your nice rom (1.1.1c). After it is finished the box restarts and I see four linux tux'es. I'm wait, but the box does nothing. What's wrong ?

EDIT: Now I see you have diffenent versions of your rom, for different devices. My device is this one. I think I shoud try an other version of your rom

I think you have locked rk3188t device with 1.4 max. I don't know if my rom with overclocked kernel will work with your device.

Now I must find an other rom that works with this cheap box.

EDIT: The difference about your box and is only the storage ?! Your box have 16G and my 8G storage.

Please try Wasser UT1 firmware 1.2.5 on your device.
Alternatively you can try Wassers version for K R42 and try different kernels.

Your stock remote will not work but the rest should. Installation takes between 5 and ten minutes, thats normal. Sometimes there is 5 minutes black at first boot, that's quite normal. Please report back.

Edit: i think the difference is not only 8 to 16 gig but also your box has locked cpu, gpu, ram speeds. There is a lot to find here at freaktab. I think the most new boxes except minix using the cheaper rk3188t chipset.

This Rom works very well. Only the remote doesn't work, like you say before. In addition the LAN Controller doesn't work, but the WLAN works.

Is the CPU/GPU/RAM now unlocked ?

Good question, i don't know. But you can install no-frill cpu control to have a look at your cpu speed. Also you can try to install different wasser kernels on top of your rom. Just flash the kernel and deaktivate all the other stuff in flash tool. There should be a kernel for working lan/wlan. Please try and tell me which kernel worked for your device :-)

If you would like to test pureXBMC you can flash it and after flash is completed, just flash a working kernel on top.

just installed firmware, glitchy

hey guys i have looked everywhere possible for an answer on this and yet to find anything remotely close to my issue.. i installed the firmware on my cx921 box. The good box not the "t" version. Anyway everything runs great Except on my tv screen i keep getting single flash lines across my tv.. There will be a "flicker of a white line" every few seconds is different place. i have a samsung 1080p tv and have tried even switching to the 720p kernel and still the same thing.. Strangley enough when i switch to even lower than 720p such as 480 there are no more glitchy lines that flash .. Any ideas? im about to chuck this box out my front window..."not really" oh also i reinstalled firmware and still same thing.. oh yea also the screen keeps "resetting" it will go black for a second and come back on

Pleas try rom from post #42 cause it's not so hot overclocked. Do you're box have 8 or 16 GB?

It is the 8gb hard drive with 2gb ram

So I installed the other firmware from post 42 still have the same issue even in 720p .. Maybe I got a faulty box?

Another update i just installed a firmware pack made for minix 7 and it worked fine in 1080p with no glitches...though my wireless and ethernet does not work..fix 1 thing something else messes up..
