Hi, so with my mainboard, what are the PINS I need to short? I don't know about "SK Hynix H27UCG8T2ETR BC", what is it? I short PINS 17-18 because I see it same as M8 so I do like this topic: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...our-m8-m8n-h8m

Hi, the problem was caught and me when updating the firmware. I have the same PCB as Orla. On the unit lights constantly blue LED tv did not see the device.
Due to the lack of options to boot from the SD card (not working), I tried to short-circuit the pins as in your statement - unfortunately also without success.
The device fires up though with USB AA and sees them without a problem usb burning tool. In most img unable to finish the flash.
108k4 img - stops at 2%
M82_110k4_533.img - the same
M8S.STAGE1.NO.WIFI.BT.img - Flash 100% and there is no change.
Someone has any idea what you can even try?

If you do not know what ... do not short pins . Should be write on it. Name and numbers . Take picture PCBs, and show me. Without information, I do not know how to help you.
Do you remeber Name of the device M8S n200 , or M8S n200c ??
Where you buy this device ?
Which manufacturer ? Is a clone ?

First you have to try to run TWRP from the SD card , if I have more information , I'll try to prepare this for you.

I Saw the theme for this forum, the problem uploading of 2% has been resolved, but I do not remember how , search/look it was about a month ago . Do You asked Orli for a copy of the software ?

U have to unshort when the device is detected under USB burning tool. If you don't unshort, the program is unable to write in the nand.

I had the same MODEL , I failed to find any firmware , which would handle the wifi. If you want to work here are the files needed to unbrick , the method described earlier in this topic .

First you try from folder autoflash form sd - auto1.zip
next from folder twrp - recovery.img ( boot from sd card witch u-boot.bin )
next TWRP flash from folder firmwares - FS995676-0924.zip - works fine, but no wifi

Hi, I was try your way but my M8S still can not turn on to install the firmware It's no led now, I can connect it with USB Burning Tool but it can not install any ROM. Please let me know what should I do now? I have some boxes M8S have this problem and I want to resolved by myself, if not, I need send back for guarantee.
My steps:
1. Put HDMI cable
2. Put SD card into M8S (SD card have been create "u-boot.bin" from "AUTOROM folder" with SDCard Maker and copy 3 files: aml_upgrade_package.img, u-boot.bin, and aml_sdc_burn.ini - from new_autorom folder in to it)
3. Holding the AV pin and short NAND pins 17-18 (like on the picture)
4. Power on

But nothing on the screen and the LED is still turn off. I was try with more M8S and have same result. What I was failed in my steps?

Try another u-boot.bin, if you have HYNIX NAND H27UCG8T2ETR BC, short pins 29-30, not 17-18

Hi, finally i "unbricked" my M8S KCA-003 with this firmware M8N-M8S_Amlogic_11152015.zip , description we have brand M8S+ not M8S board is n200c not n200 like a previous stock firmware. Without WIFI and problems with ethernet port, after 5 or 10 minutes auto logical disconnect and i must to turn on it again. Somebody can help me to solve this problem definitely ? For the future I'll never buy chinese shit. I opened a dispute on Aliexpress with this seller.

I just saw and downloaded your ROM, i didn't tryed it yet but it seems to be identical to the one already installed into my device.
Can you tell me if this is the official ROM for my device and if a device with this working ROM can be considered Original? (M8S N200C, the WiFi is a Murata XJ-A KM3201###)
Anyway, the TWRP you just uploaded does work with this M8S?

Unfortunatly i can't connect my device to the PC and i can't find a way to backup my current ROM, so i don't want to screw this up installing other roms or recoveries before i'm sure that i can make mistakes going back to a working state.

i own a mbx m8s n200c 2gb ram 8gb which i bricked (original firmware was KOT49H.20151110)

i followed these instructions apparently with wrong img for my box

the box boots with blue light but freezes at the beginning of mbox logo and i cannot enter recovery at all

i believe i must use USB.Burning.Tool to flash a compatible n200c img file just to recover basic functionality and recovery menu but i cant find such file anywhere

any thoughts?
