I experienced the screen flickering issue on my T428 after flashing the Finless 2.0 ROM. I just flashed the new 1080P 1.8 kernel and the flickering persists. I am viewing on a Optoma 1080P projector. I use the recovery partition to hold a Linux kernel and the screen is nice and stable when I boot to the Enlightenment window manager under Debian. Unfortunately Kitkat is impossible to use since the flicker is so bad that my projector ends up blanking the screen most of the time because the signal is so corrupted. It does appear to work fine when connected to a 1680x1050 LCD scaled down from 1080P.
I also used two different HDMI cables to rule that out.

Which kernel did you try? The standard ones are overclocked to 1.8

      Did you try T ?

Yes I tried all the 720 kernels. None of them booted. Went back to KK_RK3188T_720_v01.02. Found out that on my computer screen it doesn't flicker, only on my tv. Is it possible to test KK_RK3188T_720_v01.02 with 1.8V to the HDMI? Since KK_RK3188_720_v01.02 and T version works fine but with flicker.

I'm confused, wewen says he can't boot the AP6330 kernel on his T428 whilst Mustanley says he can boot fine on his T428!

Good spot Yerzu, Finless has tested his T428 and confirms it sticks on boot logo with his latest ROM but it boots fine with his upcoming Tronsmart A928 (ap6330-based) ROM.

              Weird!

This seems to be a T428 thing ONLY!
Your kernels work fine on my T428 KK 2.0 ROM on other TV boxes (confirmed on A928 and 921B). They just wont fully boot on the T428. Very strange.
However I know the kernels work because TWRP recovery will boot with them!

                Let me try something.......

It could be a tv stick only thing? I'm thinking RK1000 support.

                      I found the problem!

I had left a logo image in boot.img on my T428 2.0 KK ROM. This is causing the problem on D33's new kernels!

So you T428 guys, I will have 2 new boot.img's posted for you in a few minutes. I have tested it and it works fine. Stay tuned.

What a shame. The guys seemed to be convinced this was the solution.

So Mr. D., I have begun to test your kernels on my cs968 ap6210.

First kernel I picked with Finless T428 Kitkat is a good start. It was the kernel_T_AP6210_HD.img.
I have still trouble with booting, the old issue. I need power over otg and after booting I need to add the power connection to get keyboard and mouse over usb. Sounds silly, but you can believe me.
After installation, the rom works more fluid than the last one, I check. It seems very stable with 15736 antutu at 1.42 GHz cpu clock.
This time audio and video work fine, bt too. Only ethernet stays still unconnected.Haven't tested AV video or didital audio out. I have no flickering with this kernel.

You are getting very close. I test another version.
