I tested this ROM very briefly before reverting back to Finless 1.8. Besides the non-working ethernet (I used the latest kernel), I noticed that USB storages are mounted directly to '/mnt/usb_storage' instead of '/mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISKx'. This prevents mounting more than one USB storage device in parallel.

Is there anything that might be of use to you from the stock? ill probably root straight away, will the dmesg log also aid you for other things such as the remote as mentioned, or 3.5mm interface, etc etc
      what i need:

      1 dmesg with wifi/ethenert/bluetooth enable
2 gpio list with wifi/ethenert/bluetooth enable (please take a look in forum how to make gpio list)

that's all what i need from stock kernel

As wasser explained it, extract it on the tree you work mostly, and thats sdcard/ , a page before i explained the command and extracted the log to the download folder, mainly because all File Managers have a shortcut for Download .

i did su first, which gives you root privileges

        1st command: su
        2nd command: dmesg > sdcard/Download/

you are going to end up attaching the file here and it wont let you do that with .log files, so you can straight away extract the log to whatever file type you want, it's a binary file anyway.

so do the 2nd command as follows

        dmesg > sdcard/Download/dmesg.txt

or if you are comfortable enough and understand what you are doing then of course you can extract anywhere you want .

@Molle, ive noticed that since ive downloaded Paragon to see if exfat is back. Paragon seems to mount them just fine.

ethernet issue is a must fix for me. I'm trying to fix it, but need help from everyone since i don't have the hardware.

Please test and post the dmesg.log so i can see what the new kernel does! It's important info for me!

          thanks

              yes, it's correct, thanks

could you please remove all usb devices/hubs except your mouse (it should be connected to x7 direct) and try to boot again and check the ethernet?

              thanks

wasser, still no ethernet. i havent tried the previous kernel to this one though. Also, attached dmesg for the latest kernel, just in case.

Im on my way to load the latest stock and will come back with dmesg and gpio listings.

thanks for your dmesg.log. Does bluetooth work with this kernel?

Update on wifi speeds, using new fw from above. Download and upload speeds are now in line with my provisioned speeds and in line with my measured speeds under 4.2.2. 25Mbps down/15Mbps to 20 Mbps up.

                        using Minix x7

Wasser, no it doesnt, same symptoms.

Forgot to mention, sound issues solved, i get sound over the 3.5mm jack and the increase/decrease buttons seem to work flawlessly, but the mute button doesnt show any life sign. Thanks for this one.

ps, i use SetCPU Free for tweaking around the clockings, is there a permanent way to change the governor and minimum freq.? It does make a difference when minimum freq is 1000/1200mhz .

you can change it. lauch terminal do su and go to directory /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq

to get the available governors: cat scaling_available_governors
to get available frequencies: cat scaling_available_frequencies

to change it just do: echo [your change] > scaling_governor|scaling_max_freq|scaling_min_freq

I understand that. I'm just reporting my findings. Here is a post from Bob detailing what's required for multi-disk mounting:

Maybe you could add these sections to your boot.img?

BTW: Might it also be that the Ethernet problems are not kernel related at all but due to some omission in the boot scripts?
