      JUST PERFECT!

I tried the ROM on my mk802iv. It's working perfect. Fast and stable.
I'm using the 1800 cpu gpu stock and 1500 ram sam kernel and everything runs great!
      Perfect neomode!!
Using a gpu oced kernel, i get the same 446mhz top freq in dmesg. This is my only unsolved problem!
If you can help neomode i would be gratefull!

      Thanks anyway!!

interesting I had this combination and had the same reboot issue. To bad that neomode is not resolving the problems. Neo takes another rom and just add drivers. Maybe I'm mistaken.. but I'm sure there is a reason for that... Thank you neomode for your hard work anyway. it would be great if you could comment on this.

When i bought this stick it says 1.8ghz.. And now its only 1.4ghz.. What you think if i say that to seller? That this is not fair.. ?
I have that T-model.. i dont want lagging video or games if it says that full hd quad core sticl etc.. :/

The only problem i found is that i can't find a suitable xbmc for this f/w. any ideas? i tried spmc, beyond xbmc but i can't get 1080p streaming with hw accel. from icefilms.
            thanks all.

              This is my config:

              MK809III v2 (AP6210 and RK3188, not the "T" one)
              Neomode Custom Rom 2.1
Kernel included in the NCR, overclocked with rkpatchomatic, with CPU freq steps, in GHz: 1.00,1.20,1.42,1.60,1.80,1.92 GPU freq set to 798 Mhz and DDR set to 800 Mhz (that with DDR, i guess, it's an effective 1600 MHz)

This is what i get in Antutu, but i had to clock the cpu to 1,2 Ghz min/1,8 Ghz max because at 1,92 was unstable...

Anyway, i can give you the modded kernel, or the rkpatchomatic source file i've changed.

I'm testing it now, with the largest 1080p movie i got, attached to the TV's usb, from a 3TB HDD... and so far it is going really nice!

              Bye guys!

Can you share the rkpatchomatic file u changed?? And the kernel pls. It is a nice score on antuntu u got there

The kernel link is in some post earlier i'll not post it again to avoid confusion Anyway i'd like to try a benchmark with 1.8 Ghz min/1.92 Ghz Max to see what happens

The funny thing is that my stick has only the "flat" metal heat sink, and after a movie and some benchmarks at 1.8 i was able to touch it without burning myself O.O I think it's a good thing

EDIT: link to the post http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...l=1#post141739

If you have a normal RK3188, i recommend a cpu frequency range between 1,0/1,2 GHz and 1,6/1,8 GHz... i tried to set the maximum freq to 1,92 GHz but it isn't really stable, and it needs much more power to run.

The best thing is to use rkpatchomatic by yourself (editing the overclockomatic source, it's really simple) and setting your own frequency steps, and choose your own GPU/RAM freq values too

                  Here is the kernel...

                  DOWNLOAD: http://www.mediafire.com/download/j2.../kernelmod.img

just to remember, the values that i have set here are:
                  - CPU frequency range = 1.008/1.200/1.416/1.608/1.708/1.800/1.920 GHz
                  - GPU frquency range = 400/600/798 MHz
                  - RAM frequency = 800 MHz*

*As i said before, with DDR the effective frequency is 1600 MHz (Double Data Rate) but that doesn't really matter, i guess
I always use tool to apply rom whatever comes with the Neo's download. Do you think you could write steps how to use rkpatchomatic ? never used it before. Thanks in advance.

Ok for any details i send you to phjanderson's original post: http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...rk3188-kernel!

                    Anyway it's very simple:
                    Code:
                    1) Download and install PERL (During the installation say yes when it asks you to put PERL into PATH variable) [URL]http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads[/URL]

                    2) Download rkpatchomatic from phjanderson's github: [URL]https://github.com/phjanderson/rkpatchomatic/archive/master.zip[/URL]

                    3) Extract rkpatchomatic somewhere.

                    4) Put the kernel you want to patch into the folder that contains the file "overclockomatic3188".

                    5) Open a cmd window and write: cd *insert here the path to the folder where kernel and rkpatchomatic are*.

                    6) write this into cmd: perl overclockomatic3188 kernel.img (or whatever the name of the kernel is).

                    7) do what it tells you, i can predict that with our sticks you'll have to enter, in this order: 6, 7 and 8.

                    8) Wait for the kernels to be written, it writes every possible combination.

                    9) Flash it! :)

For every change you want to do to frequency tables i recommend to you to use Notepad++ to open the overclockomatic3188 file, and activate the Perl language (under Language menu)

As i said, if you want more detailed informations with the editing of rkpatchomatic, go to the phjanderson thread ;)
Bonus, some benchmarking porn: i've Antutued at 720p and this is what i got

Is that kernel compatible with 1.9a? And do i only flash that with rktool? And how? Only chose kernel and press run?

Well, i don't know if it's compatible with 1.9a, but since it is just the 2.1 stock kernel, patched with rkpatchomatic, Neomode should know better the answer to your question. In the meantime i think it could be worth a try, if nothing happens, reflash the previous kernel

The flashing mode is the same as usual: Use the rktool you find into your rom pack and pick only the kernel checkbox (remember to point the path to your correct kernel name )

No this Kernel ID not compatible with the 1.9a Version Sorry. But you can use sam321 Overclock kernel.

Neomod 2.1 works with any OC kernels from SAM. Neomod actually build 2.1 for this
