OC'ed Kernel for picky dongles v2.0!

Hello, I want to share my modded kernel v2.0 for fragile/related/picky RK3188T devices.

This is based on d33 v4.1 kernels + overclockomatic patch with a few changes:
    • DDR voltage was pushed-up a bit to 1.275v (default 1.25v) to support 800Mhz speed !
    • GPU enhanced now with 6 STEPS! (200/266/300/400/600/768Mhz max-OC)
    • Improved voltages on each CPU 7-Steps (1704Mhz@1.375v max-OC) for cpu-stability.

    Download link:

    [[kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD_cpu1704h_gpu768h_ddr 800_gpu-6steps.img]]
    or
    [[kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD_cpu1704h_gpu768h_ddr 800_gpu-3steps.img]]

    Source (perl file): [Download here!]

    Antutu score: 21100+ !!!

Quick guide for noobs: Go to your ROM's FlashTool: uncheck everything, keep Loader & Kernel checked. Replace kernel.img file with downloaded one and press Run!

    Greetingz!

Thanks wichoxp for sharing your modded Kernels based on d33 v4.1...!!

Since I was having some problems with the latest d33 v4.2, I have decided to go back to the v4.1 because Always got almost 20,000 (19,950 to 19,850) Antutu Score and also worked better in my CX-919 v2.0 (with FULL RK3188 Not T)... So I would like to try your modded kernels to test how they works...

I am using my CX-919 (that as I already mentioned have inside a FULL RK3188), with an Excellent 4-Amp Power-Supply, but Since I Don't Have Any Heat-Shink, I would like to know, if you think that Will be Fully Safe and Secure to use your:

      Kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD_cpu1704h_gpu768h_ddr 800_gpu-6steps

Do you think that these kernels will work without Over-Heating my CX-919 or Could Cause any other Problems, or I will have to go and get an Internal Heat Shink ?

Since I am currently using my CX-919 with a 4-Amp. Power-Supply, I am not worried about the Voltage needed, but would like to be fully sure before installing your modded kernels, if my TV-Stick can be Damage or Over-Heated.?

One last question, do you Recommend to use in my CX-919 the 6-Step instead of the 3-Step Kernel?

      Thanks in advance for help!

Since you have an "authentic" RK3188 device, it will go cooler than T model, so you don't need any heatsink or cooler (just be sure to don't run it over the sun !). In my test I used 5.3v 2A & 5.0v 2A power supplies.

Both kernels should work with same performance. I added 3-Step kernel because it only uses higher freqs to work (400-768Mhz) meanwhile 6-Steps uses the whole range (200-768Mhz) so your device will go cold when you aren't using it (in gpu benchmarks, I see a very tiny performance using 3-Steps instead 6-Steps, but I could be wrong since antutu shows me both gpu scores with same points).

Thanks wichoxp for you fast answers!

I have used before kernels with cpu1704 gpu798 and ddr667 and also 720, but never have installed any ddr800 before...

But Since I have an "Authentic" RK3188 device, it will go cooler than "T" models and as you already suggested may be I don't need any heatsink or cooler...

I am going to try your 6-Step version and will let you know how it works on my CX-919.!

          Thanks for your help!

Thank you for your care about my problem and your friendly advice for d33 not to help me
For your clear understanding, I don't ask d33 to invent the wheel from the first time. He had already done this when he released V4.0 kernel_TVBOX_RT8188_VMAC.
It works great for my box but loses lan after waking up from the sleep mode only.
My sincere hopes are that d33 will find his time once to fix this tiny bug in V4.2 and I will be happy after few months spent by me with testing his full range of kernels since beginning of this thread.

I used the AP6210 HD kernel. Then I renamed it to kernel. I then moved the file to the right direction and removed the original kernel file wich came with the neomode rom.

But even after this, the CX919 still does not boot up. The blue light turns on, but I can´t see anything on my screen. My tv also says that there is no HDMI input.

                Hello,

I have since latest problems with the location service. Can not choose a and also does not work. After the first installation of this worked very well. Are there possibilities of a repair oderwie I should proceed there.

Device is a J22 TVStick with 4.4.2 and noderat kernel 3.0

Edit: Could it possibly be due to the xposed Framework?

I just flashed the AP6210 HD kernel (TV Stick). Everything seems to be ok except that AnTuTu is still showing the resolution to be 1280x720. Do I have to do anything to set it to 1920x1080?

The kernel version is 3.0.36+ (Sun May 25 09:54:00 BST 2014). Is this the right one?

Still waiting for a Finless rom based on official source suitable for my mk908ii, hope Bob finds time before moving on to newer devices. Fancied trying Wassers x7 rom but dont know if it will brick my device or not.

                        Req: Kernel for MK809III / CX-919II / RK3188-T and MT6622N with ESP8089

Any hope to have a new kernel for this new hardware variation

it has esp8089 wifi and MT6622N for bluetooth

would be possible to release a kernel with module support and just insmod what module we need?

You'd need to provide the correct GPIOs
