I managed to set the mac address manually by using commands in a terminal emulator
su
ip link set eth0 address [your desired MAC address]
ifconfig eth0 up
Although I got an error on the set eth0 command but the MAC address was actually set.
See attached screenshot. Ethernet is working.
Perhaps we can put something similar in a script file ( init.d ?)

By the way, do you now how I could test my RAM/CPU/GPU more in depth?
D33 claims that having OC above 1800/600/720 would cripple my hardware in real life performance, I haven't noticed this at all. To be sure I'd like to do a more thorough analysis.

Think D33 stated (not claimed ) oc always has a chance that it will fry your board or not run properly over 1.8 so if you did you got lucky and a good chip (how long it lasts at that speed??? thats another iffy lol )

It depends on the distro of XBMC, 85fps is pretty good, the highest I have seen with mine is around 75ish, so you are scoring around 12% higher. The fan point I made is simply because I don't think it's worth 12%, but we are all different. Would be interesting to try the Ice Storm Extreme Benchmark, my old mk808 (same GPU) scored 7.3fps and 9.1fps. The rk3188 is now clocked higher but I don't think anybody will hit 15fps for either test.

In terms of emulation, it shouldn't have too much of an issue apart from Dreamcast/Dos/PSP as I was running everything on an old Galaxy S2 and that was underclocked to around 1ghz.

A few things:
2. Bob and I are working on the new 'Official' KitKat release, I've already got a new kernel prepared from scratch with full unlock. Much cleaner than the beta ones. Be patient.

A few questions d33, does this mean full working unlock for 3188T devices aswell?

kernel working great for me now dont know why it was rebooting before but gone back to 1704/600/800 . mk908ii-T Finless 2.0 a928 rom D33 v3.0, only problem is it sometimes wont boot/reboot and have to repeatedly cycle power until it does, not sure if its failed to boot or if its failed to produce hdmi signal, but can live with that for now, leave it on most of the time anyway, no problems with signal loss once on - been on for 4 days now.

I go home Thurs night and work from home Friday, so that is a slower day.

I should add I'm well paid (don't tell my boss!) so you don't need to feel sorry for me! I do this as a hobby whilst it is interesting.

But I admire the hours you seem to be able to squeeze in to this/these project(s) as well!
I saw that there is some RK3288 units coming soon, are you planning make them 'from-unusable-to-more-than-usable' as well?
