    Since there are two "SD" files and Two "HD" files for the AP6210, and I already know that the SD is 720 and that the HD is 1080, I would like to know the differences between the "alt" and normal SD and HD kernels files?:

    kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_HD ---->> kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210-alt_HD

    kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD ---->> kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210-alt_SD

    Does all the files are 1.6 or are overclocked above 1.7?

    Thanks for help!
    All kernels are CPU: 1.6 GHZ, GPU: 600 MHz, DDR: 720 MHz

    Overclock it urself with overclockomatic. See the 2nd post of this thread.

      Busy thread here today. But someone must surely know what rom works with the t428 using the new 4.0 TV stick kernel. D33 maybe you could help.

      Thank

        Mk802IV

        4.1 both sd and hd working fine with no boot issues or rebooting.

        With neomode 3.1 rom.

        With so few 4.4 roms actually not beta its the best of the lot for this device. (very solid actually with only a few bugs)

          Thanks Max One for your fast reply and info!

          But what I really would like to know is if there are any differences between the following kernel files:

          kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_HD ---->> kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210-alt_HD

          kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210_SD ---->> kernel_v4.1_TVSTICK_AP6210-alt_SD

          What are the real diferences between the called "alt" and normal kernels files?

          Do you recommends to use the "alt" or the "normal" normal file in my CX-919?

            AP6210-ALT (Alternative pinouts for some models like CX919-II, J22)

            Do you recommends to use the "alt" or the "normal" normal file in my CX-919?
            Try both alt or non alt kernels and then u will see which 1 fits to ur stick.

              I see Max1 has answered already but just to reinforce his reply; the 'alt' kernels are for those models that use a different GPIO to turn on/off the AP6210 wifi module. Most models use the 'normal' settings but there are a small number of models that use this alternate.

Please do not construe this as a complaint, as I am more than happy with my stick's current performance, but one always does seek the latest and greatest.
                It is not a matter of "not be able to use yet".

                The beta sources were released in January. I built T-override kernels from the beta kernel source (versions 1 to 3) and these worked with the beta source ROMs. I will not be building any more from these sources.

                In April new sources were released by Rockchip. I have the kernel sources and am building t-override kernels with them (version 4). They work with the current ROMs on most models (MK902/A928/CS968 are exceptions)

                  So the only difference is that:

                  "the 'alt' kernels are for those models that use a different GPIO to turn on/off the AP6210 wifi module"

                  I asked because both files apparently worked in my CX-919, so just want to be fully sure which one is better, before using this New 4.1 kernel...

                    If both files work equally then something is wrong.

                    Your wifi should only work with one kernel, not both.

                      FYI, tried the new 4.1 tv stick. My picky mk802IV no boot. Black screen only. The only V4 d33 kernel I can make work is V4.00 tester no gpu, no ddr. Thanks, Ynot.

                        Scuse my mistake, what I meant was that both (the HD and SD) versions have worked flawlessly in my CX-919 with Neomode's 3.1 KitKat ROM...

                        I apologize again for the confusion and misinformation!

                          Could someone compile a list of ROMs which are compatible with the v4.x kernels? I know of Neomode v3.1, but that is it.

                          Also, D33, is v4.x available on github publically? I see now they aren't... Too bad.

                          Signature? Signature!

                            Leolas can compile a kernel from the same sources as me that boots properly on the MK902. Even using his .config my kernels don't properly boot to the desktop.

                            Leolas is incorporating the 'override' code too so it may be best waiting for him to release his kernels.

                            He's using a 4.7 GCC version whilst I'm using 4.8.2. Perhaps that's the difference?

                                I got sooooo frustrated I deleted the whole Ubuntu partition on my laptop!!

                                When I calmed down I reinstalled from scratch and .... it now works perfectly!

                                I'll upload a series soon but here is my AP6210 test file. I expect I'll have messed some stuff up in re-applying code but I'll get it all straightened out soon.
