NEomodes 3.1 isn't a beta firmware? Can i use v4 kernel with it?

      Yes they work with it.

Flash with stock kernel and setup location services and then flash with your 4.0 kernel of choice.

On my MK908II, my webcam logitech C270 is very dark using the V4 kernel. I tried quite a few ROMs with the kernel, and all give me the same dark scene from my camera.

The only ROM that gives me the proper camera light is Bob's 1.6 for MK908II using Bob's kernel, but that's 4.2. I really like 4.4 ROM. If you can fix the camera light problem, that will be great. Thanks.
how are you testing the webcam? on a finless 2.0 beta with v3.0 d33 kernel - the webcam turns on but I just get a blank screen when I try to use the USB Camera Trial app. Skype is audio only, no webcam.

I remember I read somewhere that all the beta kitkat ROM has problem with webcam.

Is there something we can do? I have the same problem with the same cam model. Using a camera app i can modify the brigthness. This works for the camera app, the picture in skype stays pretty dark.

What i noticed is that there are patches for the logitech c270 from March. I wanted to give a 3.14 kernel a try to see if that changes things.

Are there any insights to why this is happening? Is this behavior a known issue for this kernel?

              Regards
              Jens

I'm using the generic UVC driver in my kernel builds. I'll have a look to see if the brightness is held within the driver.

atleast your cam works! what camera is it? and what rom/kernel combo? I've got a Logitech C310 and the camera app just hangs. I just got it to work a little bit by chmod 666 /dev/video0 and using dashcam.

Thank you. By the way according to my understanding there is no global setting tool for brigthness and stuff, correct? The HAL opens the videoX device but never touches the ioctrl for the device.

                        Great Job!!

The 4.0 last versions of D33 kernels are really great..

TV Stick (SD) AP6210 is working very good on Neomode 3.1 ... sometimes doesn't boot, but UI is fast and smooth... Antutu scores 19384 (i have an MK908II non T ver.)... connecting a wireless xbox controller was easy at first time.
The only problem was that kitkat can't recognize the 2Gbs of ram.. just 1.. but most hw info software can see all mem size.. Beyond XBMC playing most videos stuttering but Gotham version did all fine!!

                        Thanks a lot!!
From my recent start on this .. this was the most powered combo I found!
