Pipo M9 Pro RileyROM 2.7 KitKat

tried installing this rom and it gave me the android logo with the little red warning sign. Tried to restart but it kept reloading the pipom9 logo and then back to the android error picture. Need help here.

I had the same issue, it freaked me out. BUT I've let it almost 5 - 10 mn bootlooping / rebooting and THEN it booted normaly, I don't know what happened but it works now

Just turn it on and let it do its job, even if you have the warning sign or it bootloop, don't touch it, just let it reboot.

OK...that first sample was a dud. I've spent the last several hours tracking down the problem, and I am uploading a new version. It's been tested and working.

One thing that I have seen is that QuickOffice is FIXED!!!!! You can now save documents.

As far as the other little gremlins we've been dealing with...deep sleep, 3G signal, wifi signal...etc....well that's going have to play out among you users. The link above is live again.

I decided to call this v3.0, since I've made several attempts at fixing the last version over and over again, and I thought I would leave you with a good even number. This may, in fact, be the last firmware we see out of Pipo for the M9 Pro (I hope not, but I wouldn't be surprised).

I'm starting a new thread for v3.0. I'm adapting this firmware to the M7 Pro and possible the M8HD, now that I figured out the booting problems. I won't bore you with details...but the fix ended up being a simple one...it just took a while for me to find it.

Is there a way you can show us how to resolve this boot problem ? I'm on 3G, so downloading another +300 MB file will kill my quota.

The problem...of all things was in the boot animation...I had to resize it to keep from hanging up the boot process. That's never happened to me before. Anyway, I got it fixed.

If you want to wait to download the fixed version, just go to system/media in a rooted explorer app and cut and paste the boot animation out of the folder to your SD card. That should do the trick. There's nothing else I changed in the final version, except that I did leave QuickOffice in the final version so you don't have to download it.

Hello, im still on 4.2. Could anyone comment on battery life ? Mine currently can last 1 day normal use. 2 days minimum use.

3G problem

Hello. I had a problem with 3G on 4.2.2, so i decided to flash 4.4.2 on my Pipo M9 pro 3G. I insert the SIM card and start the device (it doesn't ask for PIN code, i don't know it is right). I turn on modem power. An empty triangle appear on the status bar, but after a few seconds it disappear. If i go back to modem power it is unchecked. Any solution, or is this hardware problem? Btw the ROM is very good. I got 20010 on antutu. It turns on in 30 seconds. Very good work, thank you

I see only a KitKat 3.0 but it is for M7. I just need a ROM with working 3G

Black screen

Hi, after rooting and installed the rom the pipo was more faster and not so laggy. But when my girlfriend played a game the pipo went black, and wont start. When you plugged in it in the computer, the computer makes the sound like when it found a new device. How do i get it fixed, or is it a bad pipo that i got?

There is a reset button near the camera/flash. Try to push it with something.

It is still black, but the sound that it found a device still going on. My girlfriend said that she had it in her knee and that the picture just froze..then a sound of a "click" and it went black.
