It look like a new KitKat release:
Changelog: M9pro Chinese generic version of the firmware upgrade

Update: Upgrade to Android 4.4 system

    Updated with new UI interface

    Increase boot guide

That look's to me like a final KitKat release from Pipo, for Chinese users.
Probably we'll see after a few days an international release...maybe one of the last for Pipo RK3188 based devices "Update: Upgrade to Android 4.4 system".

Because of a previous encounter with a faulty charger, it goes in to charging mode when I turn it off or reset it. I have to long press the power button to boot it. However, after switching to ART, the power button is not responsive. Basicly, I have a tablet that is stuck in charging mode and I cannot turn it on without using the power button. I am not sure if it will boot to flash mode if I hard reset it with jumping some legs. Any suggestions are welcomed.
I have switched to ART on v 2.7.2 and it seems to work fine. Only upgraded once. Have switched back to Dalvik and then to ART again. I would be very cautious about shorting out legs - one mistake and you have a permanent dead tablet; have seen instructions on this somewhere but also vaguely recall some discussion/differing views about which legs! Perhaps try reloading firmware 2.7.2?

I wish I could but I cannot flash it without turning it on. I am still trying.

              Doesn't work!

Although we have never communicated, and I made my ROM before discovering this was an already customized version...I want to thank Chinese developer Edge Xuan for his work in streamlining and beautifying the icons in this firmware. I don't usually mess around with another developer's work, but this time I made an exception (Edge Xuan, I hope it's OK).

I wish I could say what is new with this release, but since I have no change log...we shall have to find out on our own. I do know there is a new kernel in the ROM.

CAUTION: This IS a KitKat ROM...so do your homework on flashing KitKat ROM's before you get started.

NOTE: I discovered a few problems with the first version (you can see my posts below), so this is now v2.7.1. Really, the only difference in the update was to remove a couple of Chinese apps I missed in the debloat process...and add the English keyboard back into the ROM.

The main reason for this new ROM is because it contains a new kernel.

This ROM has all of the usual RileyROM features:

              Rooted
              Debloated
              Init.d support with Busybox commands
              English Default
              Google Play Store fixes
              Updated Google Apps
2, 4, 6, 8 or 12gb user app space by selecting the desired parameter file
Auto Install feature added for installing apk files on first boot from external SD
TWRP recovery installed on first boot by Abdul_Pt
              Reboot app by Petrus
              New boot animation by me
Latest revision of the First Time User's Guide
              Flash Tool by Finless
All made with a variation of 900SuperSport's Freaktab Kitchen

              Download

              Edit:

I was able to download a copy of the original firmware this Edge Xuan ROM was derived from. So I have made a whole new version of the RileyROM with it. I have tested this ROM on my M7 Pro, and everything seems to work just fine.

If you are having any problems with the 2.7.1 version, please try version 2.7.2.

              v2.7.2 Download

              Hi man!
Today I decided to flash your ROM. Unfortunately couldn't go through. I receive errors during this process. First I connect my Pipo M9Pro via USB, connection established, Debuging enabled, then I run ROM_Flash_Tool_137.exe. After clicking on Reboot to flash mode window pops up with the message Device can noto do switch, because of no drive. I follow then further instruction, open RKBatchTool.exe, device connected, click Switch. After that tablet is turning off and never rebooting in flash mode.
If i manually flash (m9pro I hold power+esc few scond) I also can not do anything because ROM flash tool doesn't see my tablet in that mode.
              The end. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

apparently you did something wrong. I flash this firmware my tablet and everything worked perfectly!

but then I decided to experiment. using non-native systems from another tablet. and got a brick.

then restored. but recovery had to disassemble the tablet. find the chip. close to her two contacts. tablet enters the programming mode. then flash.

disassembly video you are don't need full disassembly. only halfing

                            more here (in Russian!).

I had the same issues when I tried to flash the rom under Windows 8.1, I tried on my father's computer with Windows 7 and everything went correct.

Try to switch to Win7 or find another computer under win7 and you'll be able to flash
