You use the wrong flash programm. This it what it should look like:

There you can also see what needs to be marked for flashing.

The programm is located in the 2.7.2 package.

I really know very little about android devices, but this might be a memory problem. You could buy a micro SD card and move most of your apps to this external card. This would free up internal memory which QuickOffice may need to operate properly.
I think other people have had problems with office suite programs as well.

When you get up wake it up and see what the battery percentage is. Yes, battery settings is fine for this as all we are looking for is how much battery is used per hour. When i keep my wifi ON i lose about 1% each hour. When wifi is off when sleeping i loose abou 3% in 8-9 hours. A massive difference. Others all seem to report the same from what I can tell. I am not sure we all understand the advanced wifi settings! Good luck and I look forward to your report tomorrow.
          Cheers, colin.

This is my battery drainage with my M9Pro (wifi only) with RileyROM v2.7.2.
I have WiFi and GPS turned on but let the tablet stay in sleep mode.

          From 100% charge :
After 24 hours battery is 86%
After 36 hours battery is 74%
The useage graph is smooth with no appreciable steps.

However, I do not have my email set up. I think many people have email set up on their tablet. Most email clients can be also be set to check for new emails at specific periods. e.g. every 5 minutes. Maybe the standard email app in the tablet defaults to checking for emails every say 1 hour, and this is what is causing the heavy drain. Maybe?

I had the same problems, particularly when trying to save as, with the 2.7.x ROMs so I had to go back to 2.6b.

I noticed it too. I will search for a fix to that.

Man.. 11 more days until I fly back home and can put win7 on my laptop to try to flash my m9pro. I really hope you guys are accurate when you say it transformed your tablet because stock out the box is simply horrendous. This thing is so slow, especially when you try to do multiple things. I had to double check it was 2gb of ddr3 ram..

Hi Nordo, thanks for this. I just spent 36 hours checking as well, but with wifi set to only on when not sleeping, or off when sleeping. [Did you check your advance settings?] I suspect you are right about email. Mine checks every 15 mins. I got a reasonable length of time with these settings, but still nothing like I was hoping for. Yes, apps like email will drain the battery, but if I can get an ageing Samsung Note to last 2 days with the same settings then we should be able to do the same with this. Hey Ho, I guess I won't be using it for my main email device any time soon.

Holy Cow, guys...is it that difficult to plug in a charger every now and then?

Sure, comparing with the Samsung device...we have a long way to go on battery life...but 36 hours isn't too shabby. I'm sure I could find an outlet to plug into while I'm sleeping...plus it doesn't take that long to get a full charge.

                            I'm just sayin!!!!!!!!!!

                              Hi Col

I should have taken a shot of my battery drain graph. It was very smooth with only the very tiniest of steps. These steps correlated to when I had activated the screen to check the battery status. I have seen other peoples battery drain graphs where the steps are very large and pronounced.

In Advanced, I have "Keep WiFi on during sleep - Always", and "Minimize battery usage when WiFi is on" checked.

I don't see any need to having the tablet check for emails whilst asleep - unless it sets off a loud audio signal to announce a new email. And then an ongoing warning every few seconds until you read the email (for ages I've been wanting to have something like that on my phone regarding incoming texts).

I know, I know! Maybe I am being too demanding, but this tablet is not going to be a winner unless it matches the likes of Samsung & Apple. With everything else it does.........and for the price it is amazing.
