I didn't have a 3G card in the slot and i have the Tablet always on Airplane Mode.
But modem power was on even with Airplane Mode ON.

I did the following:

1. Airplane Mode goes to OFF
2. Mobile Networks-Modem Power goes to OFF (it was ON)
3. Airplane Mode goes to ON (I think there is no difference any more).

rik-rk29-dataonly goes away and Deep Sleep start it's action!

I now have "rtc_hym8563" but i think that this is ok.

I will see if the battery gets empty fast with that.

GPS is working with this KK. That is 100% sure

battery drain

I too am suffering still from battery drain. No, i do not have sim card installed, yes,modem power is off, yes, i read all posts before jumping in with information. If I have missed something I would appreciate someone pointing it out to me without dissing me!
I am loosing about 1% power per hour, always have. Pipo need to address this serious problem that only seems to affect the versions with sim card. If Bob or Randy are able to find and fix first all power to them. This is now for me the ONLY issue with my tablet. It is not however stopping me, its just an annoyance having to keep it near a charger. Rgds. Colin.

Actually, there is a fix for that. A patch I was using in my ROM's until just recently that assists with battery drain and deep sleep, but drastically reduces 3G performance.

The file is libril-rk29-dataonly.so

This file is located in system/lib

With a rooted explorer app, rename the existing file (or cut and paste it somewhere else) and copy this file in it's place and give it execute permissions. On reboot, you should see improved battery performance, but if you have a 3G version, you will have drops in your 3G coverage.

Thanks Randy, I have seen reference to this file, but have been on finless1.5 for a while, so missed the actual instructions. I don't actually use the sim slot, just bought the top spec tablet which happens to have it. I will install this file and report back in a day or so. My other really cheap tablet loses less than 1% in 12 hours, and can be left for days without losing much at all. This is what I think the world expects from these things nowadays, not overnight charging every night. It has a sim slot and gps and wifi and I don't need to do anything to it for it to go to sleep properly. Cheers for now, colin.

Thanks Randy, yes, I have been watching from the sidelines and have jumped back in to give KK a go. I was most impressed with the assylum/omni ROM for my note. Apart from my problems installing which I think were down to me not bothering to remove my SD card, and the afore mentioned ongoing battery drain all seems well so far.
Did you add the tun.ko for openvpn, or was that Pipo actually responding to feedback?
So, I just installed the rk29 file and my first observation is that the phone signal icon is present but greyed out in the top notification bar. Telling me of course that the radio is on but not getting a signal [no card fitted] before changing the file the radio either defaulted to off, or was able to sense the presence of a card automatically. When I put my card in [power off please guys] before and powered on I got the android system update splash screen before it went to password screen, indicating it was doing something. The mobile symbol came on immediately and all worked wihout changing any settings. No problem with carrier [china mobile] and no problem with getting onto the internet using the card. One day I will try to see if I can make phone calls on it!
I will try again later with this new rk29 file to see how bad/different it is. But what have you done to get better battery life when tablet is sleeping? Have you just turned radio power down?? If the radio is actually switched off that should make no difference, but if the radio is not actually off then Pipo have some work to do! I will have a play around today and come back to you. Actually, the modem power is supposed to go off while sleeping. A bunch of users complained about it, so I quit putting it in the ROM's...for now. Let me know if you see a difference.

You keep your magic tricks Randy, all respect to you! I am not surprised if people were complaining if it turns off when sleeping - they would miss that all important call!
I will let you know what happens on my tab tomorrow.

Way too much. In my setup battery drain is ~ 3% in 8 hours, with sim inserted and WiFi On (Always On only when connected).
Yesterday at 8 PM tablet was left with 98% battery in idle state, Wifi On - Always On only when connected, 3G Sim inserted with Data and Modem Power disabled.
Today (over 10 hours from now it will be 24 hours in idle state) I will post some pictures of the battery details.

This is a known problem, try to use Apex launcher and missing labels/Home screen auto-rotate will be solved.

Finally now i know why the device never went to deep sleep, in my case it was modem power that was still on even in flight mode. Funny thing is that in all versions i have tested only v2.6 managed to tun modem power off by it self in flight mode. All early releases and after v2.6 still need this to be done manualy.

Riley might be worth comparing v2.6 to the rest you have released

In my case i have the 3G sim inserted all the time, i have only had to set it to airplane mode with other roms except for this and early rileyroms.

1. Untick Modem Power (its ON by default)
2. Set Airplane Mode ON
3. Check if the device is going to deep sleep, if not do what kostas posted above.

Modem power is On in every restart also in all official Rom for M9 pro 3G if sim card was inserted.

i use the 2.7.2 with 3G and battery, 22 hours sleep mode from 100% To 96% not bad,

Clash of Clans didn´t work with ROM 2.7.2. I just tried. All in all, the ROM is great. If someone knows how to get to work it, please tell me. It´s much harder play with my S2 than PIPO M9Pro.

Me too, same problem. This is when an app is show in fullscreen, an the screen freeze, don't refresh it.
