    Stability issues with this Rom

I've used this rom since it came out (Riley, thanks so much, man!) but I found earlier roms more stable. I've had 3 freezes at random moments so far (so the paperclip attached to the cover is back...)

There's also a bluetooth issue. Bluetooth appears to work, it will recognize devices but not the bluetooth speaker I used with earlier roms.

    Anyone with similar issues?

posting md5sums would help for these situations.

      :-)

It doesn't make sense from a software engineering perspective (and neither from a marketing one).
Applying the latest upstream bug fixes and security updates (e.g. OpenSSL library) and kicking off the script to create a new JB image is very quick and doesn't require revalidating the entire software stack.

Swapping out the entire underlying OS on the other hand takes a massive amount of developer effort to properly QA and code everything.

So I'm not surprised at all to see new 4.2 JB images. It probably only takes one dev half a day to produce and takes the time pressure off the rest of the team who presumably are working flat out on the 4.4 KK drivers.

Well, yeah, but still, they seem like they don't show a particular interest in the KK version (as for QA, I wouldn't bet that they spend so much resources, as I never found a chinese maker that haven't produced a critical-bug-free ROM for their phones/tablets!).
If we had the sources for the drivers though, XDA would give them some space (and extra publicity/free advertisement) while delivering spftware updates that they are unable to deliver on time (they could even learn from the produced sources of the community!).
In any case, I don't expect to see a Motorola/Samsung/Apple type of QA/Development roadmap, but still, I would love to see them going ASL'd/AOSP.

Clash of Clans didn´t work with ROM 2.7.2. I just tried. All in all, the ROM is great. If someone knows how to get to work it, please tell me. It´s much harder play with my S2 than PIPO M9Pro.

You could try xposed installer and use "xposed app settings" and give it a try with a lower resolution/dpi
I have had issues with games not starting or simply look rubbish with a high resolution tablet.
              Might be worth a shoot?

Regarding 2.7.2 could you please see if the device goes down to deep sleep, for me 2.6 was the only working version with deep sleep even with sim in slot.

Hi Randy, this is the first text that comes up when flashing - and I am getting quite a lot of problems now with the whole tablet crashing. It all seems to work fine for a while and then BOOOM - blank screen? have I done something wrong in flashing? I have been leaving the loader box checked each time as I have been going back and forth between KK and JB, could this be causing the problem, or could it be the external SD card? I took it out last time I flashed, but it has been in for many times. I only see this first text when flashing KK, not JB.
                any help would be apreciated,
                Thanks,
                Colin.

Maybe the old loader is on the SD card and is not getting wiped when you're flashing?
Randy and Bob have always suggested to remove the SD card when flashing. Also have you read Randy's advice on backing up and restoring when flashing? (post #94 of this thread)

Here's anonther interesting thing.....I just pulled out the USB cable and the tablet reboots? Last flash I took out the SD card as I thought this could be the problem, but same thing happened? When its running
                    it is fine?

                      Positive feedback

On a more positive note guys, I can confirm that OpenVPN is working perfectly on 2.7.2 AND the BBC have finally decided to enable downloads on ALL Android devices running on V4.1 and higher, so I am now able to have KK and the BBC here in China!
                      Cheers for now

I need to go back to Jellybean.
I flashed 4 days ago this KITKAT Rom but all the battery goes out in 20 hours.
                        It is increadible.
I have the 3G M9 Pro and BetterBatteryStats finds that my battery goes out from "rik-rk29-dataonly".
My tablet never goes to "sleep"
Is there anything i can do to stay here in KIT KAT (but of course, i want the battery to end after 2-3 days), because with Finless 1.5 I charged my Tablet after 4 days.

                          Returning back to JB 4.2.2

                          Dear Kostas,
Because i have thesame problems as you, now working with the latest official rom dated 14042014.
Is stable and boot up is faster than in previous official rom.
We will wait for Pipo engineers to release a new KitKat rom (i hope).

                            Thanks antmex,
I will go back to this stable version of Jelly Bean until Pipo release a KIT KAT for M9 Pro (with no battery problems i hope).

If you have patience to read a few pages, you'll find in post #26 two simple methods to have DS enabled.
For me it works, on 24h idle time - 9% discharge with WiFi on.
Pls. do not disinform forum members, this ROM is OK as i said before.
GPS is working fine for me
