Anyone with 3g to share their opinion of this ROM?

I'll like to install it, but first of all I'll like to know how it works on 3g version.

      Quickoffice crash

Has anyone else tried to "save as" a word document from Quickoffice?

Every time I try to it crashes the file and changes are lost.

I am using it on an M9Pro 3G - mostly it is great!

As the post above states, QuickOffice is a problem.
When selecting Open or SaveAs, I get the "Unfortunately, Quickoffice has stopped" error.
So I have installed Kingsoft Office until (and if) I can resolve the QuickOffice problem.

Everything else seems to work pretty much flawlessly.

FYI I have gone back to 2.6b, but using this kernel, as there are a few too many bugs and jitters in this ROM.

About the only thing I like better about 2.7 is the boot animation, which I delete anyway to go back to the standard android image... Sorry Randy.

            Thanks for answering!

Just installed it. Really smooth and fast, but...

As always, it could not be perfect.

I've two games that try to run on full screen mode.
            But they freeze.
I need to make appear notification bar sweeping down to make it run again.
Once I release the notification area and it folds, games just freeze again.
So, if I hold notifications unfolded with finger, games run, but not playable.
They are Clash of Clans and Hay Day.
Is there any way to avoid these games running on full screen mode?
            Other games doesn't do this

EDIT: Just googleing a bit, just found what happens:

Compiling with the new framework does not enable full screen mode automatically as claimed.
since last update Clash of Clans is obviuously doing it on purpose.

Clash of Clans is calling setSystemUiVisibility() with flags SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_IMMERSIVE, SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_HIDE_NAVIGATION to make it happen.

It would be very easy to add configuration option to Cash of Clans to let the user to decide what he/she wants since Clash of Clans is now also defining SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_IMMERSIVE_STICKY to make navigation bars to dissappear after a moment if summoned with swipe.

by defining SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_FULLSCREEN user could swipe the bars on screen and they would not dissappear without action.

Now that Immersive full screen is defined STICKY there is now way to externally control the behaviour.

I'm trying the original Pipo kitkat, but I couldn't root it. TPSparkyroot didn't seem to function with kitkat.
                Help, pls

I have it running on a 3G version, and it seems to work OK. However, I can't see that KitKat is better than JellyBean in any respect and it is less good in many. One particular niggle is that apps can no longer write to an external SD card. Another is that you can no longer hide the button bar.

At least with ths ROM's version of KK you don't keep getting Google Now pushed at you all the time, as it does on my Nexus.

If I could manage to, I would go back to JB, probably Finless 1.5 but I have failed to manage to do that despite making several attempts.

Same here. But it's not really a show-stopper!

Mine reboots every time I connect to a wireless display.

                          Reboots when charging.
I put tablet to charge when powered on, after a few minutes i remembered to shutdown and received a reboot...tried 3 times in a row.
Disconnected from wall charger and shutdown works just fine.
This is an addition to post #13 from this thread, not a criticism.
Maybe base Rom used here by Randy was much too customised by his chinese creator, denoted by dictionary and keyboard disfunctionalities.
Mine too have some sort of trouble with Kingsoft Office on Word documents.."application has a problem... etc"
In my opinion these KitKat little flaws are minor vs. JellyBean ones.
On Arctablet has been posted a new/same Rom based on original Pipo dated 2014/03/19, probably without these minor bugs, link provided here on #81 _ costasd
Maybe Randy has time to remake and we will have a 2.7.2 version without glitches and with a new boot animation

If anyone can find a link to that stock version, I can make a new ROM without all of the Chinese tweaks.
