I don't have a lot of experience here, but I've read that if you flash the stock ROM and stock recovery back onto your device, you can get your OTA back. I just picked up my Nextbook last night, and I plan to play it safe and keep everything stock, not even root. The website says July 15th will be the update. I can wait a little over a month.

Will wait to see how their KK ROM is (if it actually comes as indicated)... maybe most of us won't want much more than Root access then...

Personally, I don't even want the internal SD partition... I'd rather have all that space as data and use an external SD only.
They also make the system partition too damn big... what is the point of so much extra space in a read only partition?Freaktab Rom Developer

The website says it supports up to a 64GB SD card. Do you think that's a hardware or software limitation? If it's software, do you think it'd be possible to make 128GB cards work? I'd love to put as much of my music locally on my Nextbook as possible.

I think the main problem with this is that Android isn't designed to support apps on a "secondary" SD card... which means you have to either swap the internal and external cards or get rid of the internal SD card entirely so you can use a bigger external SD as the primary.

Getting the correct drivers installed was the challenge. I don't recall how I finally got the correct drivers.
I do think it involved turning my firewall / antivirus off to get the installer to work correctly though.

I used moborobo + kingoroot to root my tablet. @Ferbrizio, how are you doing it? From what I remember I installed the proper driver using moborobo. After the driver is install, try using moborobo to install some app just to make sure it's working. Then open kingoroot (don't close moborobo app) and root the tablet. Let me know if this method works.

Most Nextbook build.prop files I have seen still contain a line referring to a Prestigio PMP5580 (also made by Yifang and sold by one of their subsidiaries).Freaktab Rom Developer
