Tronsmart Vega s89 Standard/Elite FAQ - READ THIS FIRST

Nice thread, as i'm looking into this unit as the next upgrade from my MK908 (which was in turn an upgrade for the original MK808). I'm guessing most of you guys have a similar story!

How does this compare then? Is it a mega leap (as the AnTuTu 30K benchmark suggests) or just a decent upgrade? So long as it doesn't get too hot, WiFi doesn't fade in and out and it doesn't reboot if you just look at it wrong, I think i'll grab one.

For the app store issue, as mentioned in earlier posts, will an alt appstore like Aptoide work for now? Runs OK on my MK908 to grab stuff Google don't like and dev versions of some apps. Just a thought...

App store issue has been resolved in latest ROM from Eric. I'm back from vacation and will be updating the FAQ again!

Yea! XBMC 13 final released. Noderat, you can probably now refer to this new release for proper XBMC support on this device

Not final still RC. Use nightlies until further notice as they contain bugfixes that'll be included in RC2.

re: Google TV Remote app - I have added the Beelink M8 device to my Google Play account, however the app tells me I do not have any compatible devices (I also have a Nexus 7 2013 tablet and generic Android mobile phone) and will not let me install the app.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

I wouldnt touch the 13 final yet loads of complaints on several android devices. There was a problem with the build they are working on it id wait a few days .

No... This was on my desktop actualy. In firefox browser. I use dolphin on my mobile and that does not work either.

Had on since yesterday. I works fine for me. I did notice that the link was unavailable on the website - stating problems with some android devices....
I used XBMC updater app and it installed it for me - no probs.

I'm afraid the link to the IR setup guide is still missing. Could you please update the FAQ, as I have troubles setting up the S89 with a Harmony remote.

seems not many devices are supported with this... pity...
Hope it gets fixed - my S4 also not supported
