Some of us have the S89, and that remote works on this box. I think that's how others were able to mimic remote settings.

That is correct. The remote that came with my Tronsmart Vega S89-H is the same remote for the R89 from Beelink. I also think this a fantastic remote for XBMC (Kodi), especially since I have copied the keys to my Logitech universal remote.

All beta testing devices came without reamote and av cable due to not being available when sending the devices. Oman clearly stated this before sending us the Beelinks.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just unable to test the remote functionality without remote. It's fine for me it came without one, somehow overlooked Oman's statement about.

* My main issue is some kind of freezes the box is going through (with latest FW), they happen to occur randomly here and there for half of second or so, during the freeze the system is completely unresponsive (i.e. mouse moving stops, sound stops, image freezes, etc.) then everything is resumed. It seems not related to specific app (happened just @launcher doing nothing, @XBMC playing movie, @pandora listening to music, etc). It also seems not related to CPU consumption (enabled cpu monitoring in debug settings and didn't observe any interesting circumstances before/during the freeze). For me it's kind of unusable as a media player till I'll successfully dig out the reason for that. Working on it, through, and will be more than happy to get any suggestions about that


* The included power supply unit (EU) makes some kind of very uncomfortable high-pitch noise, very hard to hear but makes you feel uncomfortable at the near area. Blind-tested that on my GF and it's true Using it with the PSU from my X7 makes it non-issue, but still, I suggest not to sell it with the same PSU.

* WIFI finds only my 5GHZ network and not the 2.4 one

For PSU,we'll recheck..but I believe the PSU itself for power supply is stable..we test in heavy scenario.

For 2.4G, does the router fix the 2.4G channel to one,such as 13?

Have you somehow lowered the 2.4ghz wifi speed a little bit? 5ghz still Crazy! 88mbps! but 2.4ghz tops about 50-55mbps after the latest OTA...

Font / image Scaling issue is gone my Launcher fits to the screen perfectly now , Loosing(TV) HDMI sound after few Standby disappeared , nice little touches made Msettings apk almost perfect...all good!

this box and FW is really amazing!!! I do hope HDMI sound through AV receiver issue will be sorted shortly

Haha yes oman, I can't get one from UK resellers anywhere near the China price, resellers charge an extra 50% and its the lesser model without accessories. Completely off topic I know, just venting my frustrations and your a good guy! Lol

How open will beelink be to custom rom makers, and will it be possible that we get cyanogenmod or similar custom roms ported?

I am aware that this is not your own decission and you would have to release source code probably covered by nda, but being that open would definitely boost beelink sales and make it the major player in settop boxes market...

I can tell you he is VERY open to the developers here!
If you look around you see he is supporting us. You testers got the hardware first to start, then the Dev's here once things get going. Trust there will be lots of activity from Dev's for the Beelink and Tronsmart devices. Oman has been great working with us and sharing with us!
