Thx, for rileyrom 3.0. Nice work dude.
I have to watch power consumption, is there problem or not.

There shouldn't be any change with 3.0 with battery consumption.

        Hi,
First of all, I am really thankful to you for your commendable work on PIPO ROMs, especially when you are working as volunteer. I am a big fan of Android since its inception and have been involved in testing so many ROMs for different devices. I really appreciate your work on M9Pro which was almost a useless device with the factory ROM.
I am currently using your ROM 2.7.2 with 3.4.0 kernel version which is working great except one problem where I do need your help. My SIM CARD is recognised by the Tablet but it does not show my network carrier name. Instead it shows the numerical value (like 20801 for Free mobile in France). I did a bit of research and found that 20801 is the network value for Orange France and not of Free Mobile (for Free it's 20815). To solve this problem, I have done everything which I could possibly do (since I am not a programmer), like playing with apns-conf.xml and spn-config.xml files in /system/etc and all files in /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases. But all my efforts ended in smoke. My 3G works but very slow. I am in dire need of SMS ability so I followed the instructions HERE. SMS is enabled but I can only send SMS and can't receive (but only when my tab restarts, I recieve one msg out of many). I have also tried all your KitKat ROMs with different available kernels (like 406 and 407) but nothing works.
I am sure you can solve my problem. Thank you once again.

Unfortunately, the Pipo 3G modems don't work in the USA, because they don't have the required frequencies for our carriers. I'm not that experienced with 3G settings. Maybe one of the 3G users can explain how it's done.

I have experience in this area.

The 3G radio does work with some US carriers. I had a T-Mobile data sim and got Edge data speeds, aka 2G. Dog slow but worked.

Many months ago I did a lot of research on this subject. Finding the exact frequencies that the 3G radio supports was a royal pain to figure out. I dug it out of some random manual I found on the net. Then went and found which frequencies T-Mobile and AT&T supported.

From what I remember (don't hold my foot to the fire), I think AT&T would support HSDPA data speeds. But I never tested this as for I was not willing to pay for a sim and plan just to try it out.

And yes I also saw that weird carrier number in the notification bar when connected to the T-Mobile network. I just ignored it.

              rr 3.0.1

              I have tried 3.0.1 with kernel 407.
Everything is working but LAG, LAG, LAG! Everywhere LAG!
              Antutu from 19600 with 2.7.2, became 18100 with 3.0.1.
I am back at once to 2.7.2, the best ever I have tried!

                Bluetooth drivers? Help!

I am in a location where my laptop has reasonable WIFI reception to the network I need to be on, but my PIPO doesn't. So: I try to tether my Pipo (with RRRom 3.0) to my laptop (Win7 x64, on which I installed the PIPO Rockchip drivers and I used to flash 3.0). It will pair nicely but it cannot find any drivers.

Help wanted: How can I pair with Bluetoot and get the drivers installed?

                Thanks!

use 7zip or winzip to extract.
Added my old RR2.5.2 OC'd #386 kernels. A user reported that these kernels run better on his m9pro than 407 and 406. If anyone can try them too and give feedback will be much appreciated. thanks.

hi all, I have found two problems when using this ROM...
Sometime my M9pro will reboot. I can't find out what action cause this. One is when I have a notification from wechat, one is I am checking the confi of my tablet in the setting. (Nothing wrong when I am playing games)
Another problem is that m9pro will suddenly black screen without any response. (So, the reset button helps me a lot :P)
But I still want to thanks Riley, who provide this ROM to us. Compare with the official 4.2.2 ROM from PIPO, the performance is greatly enhanced. I doubt that PIPO switch off two of the core so that the 7600mAh battery can last longer.
                            *I am using kernel407

Yeap, and you are not the only one! Same here, with every 4.4.2 ROM that I have tried...

                                RRom 3.0 Excellent

This ROM has fixed some problems I had from day one. Tablet starts when I press the power on button, so I haven't had to use the reset button since I installed 3.0 with #407.
Also my WiFi stays connected to my router at 65mbps and no longer drops down to 5mbps. Awesome Fix. GPS works better as well. I don't have 3G so I can't comment on that.

I have noticed that the tablet reboots when sitting idle, twice in a week, no big deal it's idle anyway.

I am having an issue with the stock Browser,it reboots the tablet when streaming YouTube videos. That issue is due to the Apex Launcher and Meego theme I am using. My workaround is to use the UCBrowserHD browser, it seems to be a more stable browser period!
The ability to use Themes is very slick looking.

Reboot issues on PC's I found to always be Ram Memory issues , so I'm using a Memory optimizer App to free up some Ram a little. Seems to be helping. I like using the UCBrowserHD now so reboots are just when sitting idle maybe 2 times a week. No reboot issues playing YouTube videos using UCBrowser.

That's some nice ROM fixes, I haven't tried CPU tweak kernels. Just 3.0 with #407.
                                Excellent Cooking!
