Finless 1.0 ROM for the Minix X8

I have an X8-H (and an X7) running stock firmware. I can't screen mirror my Samsung Note 3 onto either device. (Keep getting stupid HDCP errors.) Will a custom firmware (Finless, etc) fix this problem or will the fix HAVE to come from Samsung?

This problem won't be solved, i have told people in my reviews. If they add the hdcp key in neo x8-h, you should expect more high price for this device. But i think minix still need to work out on it.
Till now, the best device for mirror samsung device is tronsmart t1000, at least in my store

I have checked again today and I have room temperature of 25c and idle CPU temp around 60c. Seems higher than everyone else. Maybe I should reflash the ROM and check again.

At s89 / s82 Thread I read something about missing HDCP license, so I don't think so, that mod rom will fix it...

Minix haivin issue with memory card

k i din't know to post this here or else where but it pertains to the installation of this rom.
So i got the 2 rom install files on a newly formated memory card, but the minux is refusing to see it. I've tried two different a memory cards a sony and a scandisk n luck. also upon further trial n error, in the setting/storage/ the options mount sd card n format do work n do format the card, but after that i can not find the card in any file explorer n when i take out the card n replace the files both the update&backup and the minix stock recovery do not see it, also in recovery i get this error when i click apply update from EXT i get "E:mount /dev/block/mmcblkopl on /sdcard failed (no such file or directory),now try read only to mount again" the files on the memory card are factory_update_param.aml and minix_x8_finless_rom_10.zip
sr if this is a little long winded its 3am n ive been trying to get it to go for like four hrs. Any ideas or suggections n thanks for any help? now im going for sleep

Do you use FAT32?
Do you safely remove the SD at PC (via the button that says "safely remove hardware")?

You also can try to use an USB (pen) drive and 'update from EXT' ...

Usbdrives will also work update from udisk

Thanks guys- i ended up just using a usb thumb drive n it worked like a charm n the memory cards were formated to fat32 n near as i can tell they should of worked but no biggy i like usb drives better

Need for Speed™ Most Wanted

I cannot seem to install Need for Speed Most Wanted as it says its not compatible.

Fantastic ROM.

Is it possible to have the notification bar at the top of the screen always shown ?

Seems to hide away on the stock launcher and I cannot even display it in nova launcher.

I am trying to use the X8 as a PC.

The only issue I have is that I cannot access the notification bar in Nova Launcher. Tried some other launchers and most of them have the same issue. Is it possible to fix somehow?

I had the same issue too. I had to go to "Nova Settings" then to "Look and Feel" and then you have to uncheck "Show Notification Bar" and then it worked for me.

Trying to start your XMBC version for Finless Roms keeps telling me "Only for Finless minix roms".

It should only work on "this" rom, not any other.
