Beelink got a good rep of supporting its stuff and this box is still being sold.
Yes developments slowed down which is understandable with a new product out but its also got to do with the nature of the bugs left in the firmware.
The major hurdle is the amilogic codec's which need updating and that was going to take time.
With the likes of the MK802IV still getting updates its a safe bet that these devices are far from getting support dropped.
Not to mention it has hardly been two months and new firmwares tend to come out around that time table.
So sit back have a beer it shall show up.Mk802IV Neomode 1.9a original rom 720p

Besides, most of these Updates post 107k4 seem to have been mostly just Hardware related.
The question is who's job does it fall to, to fix this amcodec anyway? Beelink, who's just YAOEM, or AMLogic?
My gess is that Beelink are probably just as anxious to get the amcodec(s) figured out, as we are.
But, at the end of the Day. I'm not sure its fair to point that waging Finger at Beelink.

Yeah in the end we shall get updates its just funny how some hit the panic button so fast.
I guess its both of them working on it since the quicker its fixed the happier both become.
Amilogic gets to sell more and same with beelink since the last major issue gets resolved.
In terms of pure finical motivation both have serious reasons to fix the codec issue fast.Mk802IV Neomode 1.9a original rom 720p

Its almost a shame that you can't use the USB Burning Tool to dump a ROM Image, as well as updating One.
'Cause I've finally convinced the Old Man to pick One of these Boxes up. Since its the same **** Seller, I got mine from. Chanses are good that it too will be the AP-6181 (Stock 108k4) ROM. which, may well work better then the current 109k4 One. I don't know why but, the box chokes on 720p stuff in Show Box. Otherwise it seems to playback fine in XBMC Player.
Only problem is I have a 50Meg DSl, I think he might have ~8Megs only. So it'll be hard working out the bottleneck on that one.
Another thing I've noted is with WiFi 'n' @65Mbps... I'm only able to clear about ~25mbps. Connected to the Ethernet ca 20m of CAT5e @100mbps. I'm able to get up to 43mbps. Even with that. I'm still getting the lags from hell.
So if there is way I can ummm lift a copy of of his incoming M82, I'd do it. Unfortunately though TWRP, is NOT the answer that I'm looking for.

Here is the ftp information I have for you and fellow forum members to check it out:
Wifi should get better and a lot of people are complaining about the Wifi on my side but I recommend that they use Ethernet. But if you consider how cheap these boxes are compared to a Intel NUC it "almost" justifies the frustration and love hate relationship we have with these boxes.
Wouldn't trade mine for the world ... Unless it really sucks man 😎

In any case I'm definitely getting a noticeably faster connection, though the Ethernet. But, I'm sitting to think all this lag maybe amcodec related. I'm sure of it under Show Box. Which works fine under my 2010 Galaxy Tab. But, lags like crazy on the MXIII.
Edit: I wouldn't give up my Box either. Unless it was for the 2G/8G Version. (With the a/ac/n Chip...)

My MXIII struggles to play back anything in "High" 720p mode. At the moment I've chosen to use VLC as my Player.
Since the MX Player, decided to... (Were forced to...), cripple their Software recently. But, where VLC kinda works.
The MX Player has already failed me.
I'd be happy for any suggestions regarding a decent player backend for Show Box. But, I think Ive tried most of em by now.
And the all pretty much suck. Which is almost enough reason to want to try reverting back to a stock 108k4 were it possible to do so.

I use plex myself.
Bypasses most of the problems of playback.
The server end free https://plex.tv/downloads
And though the client cost money there a free option here https://github.com/NineWorlds/sereni...wiki/Downloads
Install server on the pc with the media and install the client above on the desired device.
Set both up as you wish. (playback quality and so on)
I have 16tb of media so it makes things much simpler..lol.Mk802IV Neomode 1.9a original rom 720p

I'm not sure as to exactly WHAT Plex does, as to the Internet facing side of things. On my NAS, before my HDD recently packed it in. I was using MediaTomb for much of my "Internal Needs".
In case you weren't aware of what Show Box is, (Seems that way...), try to think of it as a Pirate version of Netflix with the latest Movies, and TV Shows. Since its a bog standard *.apk you can install it on any Android Device, not just the MXIII. Unfortunately the Obverse of this is that you can't run it on anything that isn't Android... Like Windows. Well for now anyway....
But, with the slick Netflix / Watchever (German VOD Provider), style Interface + the leaked S0NY Pictures Films (lol), its a pretty decent App., when its working on the MXIII.... Which it isn't. Probably 'cause the amcodec pack is in such a sh-- state at the moment. At least going by my Four-Year-Old Samsung Tablet, that doesn't share those Problems.
