I'm afraid I have nothing to help. It remains to throw the tablet in a landfill and buy, for example, Teclast.

I have no clue about what's going on there (for moment I own an Pipo M9Pro).
What draws my attention here was animated icons who i presume was ported from Teclast P98 3G (tUI interface with dynamic icon_animated clock and memory cleaner icon) http://www.teclast.com/en/zt/P983Gc8/ .
For me this two images and are similar
This tablet have same components like Cube Talk 9x except a weak battery and i presume a regular screen (this is could be rupture point for dejan 1979 and Lepi)
Maybe who ported this ROM from Teclast was testing...just my opinion.

I have just tried to configure the calendar to find the tablet says there is no calendar on the gmail account. It works on my phone. When I look at the account on the tablet there is no calendar sync option. What am I missing?

Fixed. Didn't realise that calendar installed is not google calendar.

Thank you, friends. I will try everything I can. About UART mode I read, but do not know how to use, I can not. I flash 1.6 stock, i flash 1.8 stock, i flash 1.8 from Brian, i flash all recovery. No result. Touch dead.

My Talk 9x shipped with "Build" MID_U65GT_V1.0_2014528 It's Now 900supersport V1.8....
I'm not sure the linked rom ( V1.3 ) equates to this V1.0 but It's the oldest? there is.

ES file explorer and USB OTG

ES file explorer when an USB pendrive is connected to the OTG cable doesn't work. As soon as I try to enter on the USB folder, the message "Memory has been unexpectedly removed" appears. Everything is working on microSD.
With stock file explorer everything from USB-OTG or microSD is working without any issue.
Seems that is a problem of ES file explorer only.

Another bad thing is that the cube is not able to read/write NTFS partitions. My older Pipo read everything without any issue.

Not a big loss with ES File Explorer, maybe this bug will be repaired in next releases if will be reported to developers.
NTFS is a real problem...Cube is not capable to read and write on NTFS formatted medium
After external SD card in NTFS format is inserted, will be recognized with correct capacity in Settings/Storage and you can browse files or is not present in Storage ?
If NTFS SD card is recognized , permission to read/write can be fixed.
