Installed latest linux build on my Tronsmart vega s89h - connect to TV via HDMI. So far totally problem-free. Watching XBMC streamed from my Diskstation. Subjectiv but seems faster than the android builds i tried so far (tried all android builds out there - like leolas best but still had some issues). fingers crossed that this one is a keeper

Is it possible to install acestream with this firmware?

I didn't succeed to play any torrent with it. (message: torrent not available or invalid)

You may have to manually install the acestream parsers. XBMC/Kodi no longer comes with them the last time I checked.

Everything worked perfectly with AMLinux.. But since yesterday i'm having an issue with amlinux. AMLinux doesn't boot anymore : it gets stuck on the screen "AMLinux". XBMC doesn't boot anymore..

So I tried to reinstall AMLinux then Finless 1.9 ROM. My major problem is that I can't boot anymore on my sdcard with "Power off device, press reset button with toothpick which is inside A/V connector and power device back on". It boots directly on the screen AMLinux !

Is there anyway I can fix the boot on SDcard ?

Maybe your switch inside av is defective ....on one of my boxes its defective, too i soldered 2 wires on the board will buy a external switch in future ..... But for now its working......

Log in via ssh and use command "reboot recovery".
If you have a recovery.img on external sd-card it will boot from them. Otherwise it boots recovery from flash.

As AMLinux doesn't boot anymore, I can't log in via ssh. Tronsmart S89 doesn't appear on the domestic network...

Ok, didn't know that. It could have been that the ssh-server had already started with the AMLinux bootscreen.

Then you probably have to open the box and to check the reset button. Or send it to your dealer.

Yesterday I noticed that 720p videos in AMLinux stutters (when using streaming through 1channel, simple player, genesis, mashup...) no matter of acceleration settings (sw, hw, amcodec... whatever).

It appears like this: 2-3 seconds of video, hiccup, 2-3 secconds of video, hiccup.... and this is happening till the end of video.

Terribly annoying!

It's so annoying that I'm thinking of going back to stock 108 or 109, just to avoid this stuttering...


Stane, any chance of new AMLinux version?

someone else having issue with the optical audio-out? Worked fine under android - under this linux it's silent for me

EDIT - found the setting. had to disable digital audio detection and manually select the spdif. works now.
