    Okay awesome thank you for the response and all your work. I will post my results.

    Thank you

      By no means did I ever say Abdul wasn't helpful. I appreciate all his work! (Thanks Abdul!)

      I was looking for a response from anyone, preferably a user with a MiniMX-1G or 2G.

      Sorry but I was frustrated that no one would respond to my post for a couple days. Not trying to be an ungrateful ass.

        If you have no success, them we can work on making an image for that device.
        if [ $up.post.type = $type.two.lazy.to_use_google ] || [ $up.post.type = $type.silly_question ];
        then mv $user.contact.up.post /.trash; set response($response.type = ignore);
        $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

          Awesome thanks! But I cannot boot TWRP on my MiniMX-2G.

          I tried putting TWRP_MiniMX.img onto sdcard and renamed recovery.img, inserted sdcard and did toothpick method. It just boots into normal recovery.

          Do you need anything from me?

            Hello iCanuck, I have a different S905 box(S95) Can the card be seen when you are in Android? If not, try the card in a USB card reader. Some cards I have just don't work well in the slot. If the card is seen but the toothpick still fails, try this. Or if you have a terminal emulator installed in Android, enter "reboot recovery".

            Good luck.

              Thanks I know how to boot into recovery and how to use it, yes I can see the sdcard in recovery but shouldn't it boot TWRP?

                I tried to upload the recovery image file but it failed.

                  Alternatively make a dd backup of your recovery partition (so you can always dd it back) and dd the twrp img to recovery partition. That worked for me.

                        On Android 5.02 TWRP looks normal and on the image i provided you, it fills 1/4 of the screen and is purple. Pictures are attached. I'll try other version numbers and send you feedback
                        Boot time is about one minute to start TWRP, system boot time is normal
                        First time I selected wipe cache and davlik, the task ran and the box hung when formatting cache using make_ext4fs. This took about five minutes before the box locked up. I pulled the power cord to restart the box and tried again and second time I was successful.
                        I was able to install xposed framework 21 and different modules without any issues
                        Other than the TWRP boot speed everything seems to work.
                        I will also try to backup and restore images and provide you feedback on that also.

                        Thanks very much for getting this to work. Next thing is a usable ROM

                        Update: Reinstall of TWRP fixed the 1/4 screen and purple image, also forcing the box to output 1080p/60 solved image alignment issue. TWRP now boots normally.

                        Performed a backup of everything and that was successful
                        When restoring the backup image, the box gets hung up making the system partition with the make_ext4fs command. If i restore system first I can go to main menu and restart restore and it completes successfully

                          How can you install this from stock recovery? I placed the file onto SD card and pressed reset and went straight to my stocky. The recovery.img is not visible through stock either

                            There are other ways, but try this.

                              Thanks Riscy dude. I figured it out by formatting within Android. All works like a charm. I've backed up but don't have the cajones yet to restore.

                              No matter what Abdul_pt is a star.

                                I too am a bit risk-averse on the restore. My aversion is based on a lack of TWRP experience , I'll get past it.

                                Kudos abdul_pt.
