Hi All, does anybody know if the M8 version works on the m8s?

Thought I had bought an m8 but an m8s arrived. I don't want to try and flash it in case I brick it and can't send it back.

Sure, M8 is based on S802 SoC, while M8S is based on S812 SoC.

Hi man, thanks for the ROMs.

I've tried these ROMs on the Vensmile MXV, but all of them only work when the power button is pressed all the time, it kind of inverts the power button function (pressed all the time = on, released = off).

Do you have any clue how to fix this?

Unfortunately I don't know how to fix this. Also currently I don't support any of S805-based boxes, so no of the ROMs posted in the first post of this topic are compatible with your box.

It looks like an M8 I have, however it may be a little different internally, so no 100% sure if M8 build will work on it.

currently there are too many M8 versions on the market, RAM CHANGED, wifi changed....you do not know they are working on it or not

Hi All,Just found this site,I have a old MX black box,model MBX reference board (g18ref) can I install this openelec on this box .If so what version works best and how do I go about to install? Sorry I am a Noob.
Hope someone replies with the info I need.
If I have left any info needed to help me correctly install openelec on the MX Box please tell me I will add it.
