Okay, time for a stupid question. How do I upgrade from 5.0.3 to 6.0.1? M8 2GB. I want a clean install so I thought putting the zip contents on an SD card and rebooting with toothpick would just start the installation process but it just boots to recovery. From there, selecting install from EXT then sdcard doesn't work. I just get a page full of 'unable to mount' text.
What am I doing wrong?

Hi I noticed the bluetooth on the M8 doesn't work, It seems to work when I use a usb dongle but says the bluetooth is disabled on reboot even though its not so needs manually disabled and enabled again.
I also noticed the kerber build of your openelec has onboard bluetooth working fine not sure if you could take the fix and add it to your main build, only reason I'm not using the kerber build is with the twitch addon the audio / video don't stay in sync.
here is kerbers github if that helps with the bluetooth fix https://github.com/surkovalex/OpenELEC.tv

codesnake I asked above if the M8 or T8 will work with MXiii and it does. I used the update by tar method so as not to risk bootloader/brick etc. The only issue is that the remote does not work and I tried copying my working remote.conf into the right "Configfiles" section but still no change. Do you know how I could fix this please as I would like to try your builds and it seems to work :-) I have the 2Gb version MXiii. Thanks.

Hi, I'm new here and I'm desperately trying to find a OpenElec Rom for my MXIII 2GB Ram 8GB blah blah. My mate has been raving about Roms for some time and now I'm finally doing it, but I've spent the last 4hours trawling the web for a rom that will work. Hopefully one of you guys can point me in the right direction, thanks 👍🏻

MX2 works perfectly well. M8 has an issue when going through with the Shutdown procedure from within KODI. It shuts, and then comes back on. The second time I try it, it shuts properly. Also sound from the rear AV port on the M8 doesn't work. Other than that, I experienced no problems on both units connected via wifi.

codesnake I tried upgrading my MBOX MX2 box (G18ref with AML8726-MX) with old android firmware to this newer faster OpenELEC version. I tried the newest "OpenELEC-Amlogic.MX2.arm-6.0.1" and also some older "OpenELEC-Amlogic.MX2.arm-5.0.3". Both versions seems to do it perfectly fine on HMDI output, but when i connect the box with the AV output to an older TV i can't get an image (stays black or some flickering/looping image).
This issue is also mentioned on your issue site (nr 26: https://github.com/codesnake/OpenELEC.tv/issues/26). Someone there points to a matricom version (http://matricom.net/install-openelec-xbmc-g-box-mx2/), which in fact seems to be your version albeit older (4.2.1). This version indeed does work with AV and HDMI!
Can you please point me to instructions of how to get the newest 6.0.1 working with AV output or maybe you need to fix something which was broken somewhere between 4.2.1 and 5.0.3?

In the mean time i tested Matricom gbox latest 1.2.2 firmware, but this one also doesn't work entirely correctly with AV output. So now back to original Mbox firmware which has problems of stuttering video from Kodi 15 onwards. Will see if i can fix that with some android config.
Btw noticed the AV output quality of your 4.2.1 is very fluffy compared to the AV image of original firmware, but i guess you already know that and is part of the problems you mentioned...
