I updated from 900supersport's 1.8 ROM just fine. The only thing I reverted was the recovery from CWM to stock, then renamed the zip from the mega.co site to update.zip. Worked like a charm.

Finally I found out how to install ver. 2. I flashed the tablet with the flash tool with the first "supposed" ver. 2 and then I upgraded through update.zip file the original ver. 2 and it's working. Now I have to find out how to get rid of all this bunch of chinese apps. At least I started learning chinese with all these

You can uninstall everything you want with titanium backup!

For less experienced users it might be easier to use EX file explorer. Of course, root is always required.

First of all make sure to have a WHITE tablet produced AFTER week 26 of 2014!

then:

1 - if you already have 4Gb partitioning, you DO NOT need to flash it again, but stock recovery is mandatory.
2 - rename the ROM_2.0 file in update.zip and put in root folder of microSD card, update must be performed via the relevant option in: settings->tablet information->system updates (no data will be deleted)
3 - after update, reflash TWRP recovery
4 - reboot and through Titanium backup uninstall ALL the new chinese apps (including chinese ROOTING! and wakelock chinese "FM" app)
5 - reboot into TWRP and install supersu binary


Installed on 2 different WHITE tablet produced on week 27 and 29 without any issue on touchscreen AND no IMEI has been lost.

I suggest you to perform a complete backup with TWRP on external microSD before flashing, just to avoid and possible problem...

My bad, figured I was already on stock recovery. Please do you have another link or mirror to the version 2.0 file? The mega & baidu sources are damn slow, I've poor connection here

Finally, I managed to do all the right moves so I uninstalled the Chinese apps and I have only version 2. As far as I have seen though, supersports rom seems to be faster in response, especially when the tablet is sleeping. I will test it more though to see which one I will keep. I think that in terms of overall performance they are pretty the same.
The plus of the Rom 2.0 is the gesture (ex. double tap to wake up), that's why I preferred to stay with a newer release.

That's exactly my problem. Gestures. For example when I double tap my tablet wakes up when it wants to. Some times it is like knocking a deaf's door. Additionaly when I type my pin too fast it zooms the screen instead of typing the pin. Probably it is my fault. I have to test it and find out.

Probably double tap to wake up works better on bottom part of the screen, but I didn't test it well to be sure.

If the tablet is constant on a table or so, most of the times it responds normally if its not in deep sleep. if you move and it is not in a stable position then it never awakes. I do not know if I have to disable G sensor. Try to enter a pin number but quickly. Do not wait till the asterisk appears on the screen. When I do this mine zooms the screen.

'installation aborted' help

@giouncino. I keep getting installation aborted error. It says "E: unknown volume for path[/sdcard2/update.zip]E: can't mount /sdcard2/update.zip"

I think that when you put the microSD it should be sdcard1!

All fixed and running on version 2.0 now. I had to flash the official stock 1.8 first then updated to 2.0
