Touchscreen restored by reflashing the august version of the ROM posted earlier. After first boot the touchscreen did not work. Forced restart with by holding power and touchscreen OK on second boot.

Did you try switch the kernel to V1.8?

You can check what say's on this "supposed to be 2.0" you have just flashed?

I restored (from TWRP) my older rom as soon as I saw that there wasn't significant difference from my previous installation so I don't remember kernel date...

I found some strange,
after unpack V2.0-boot.img from here(sp-update) and here(ota-update),
kernel and ramdisk file size is different.

32GB black models ARE NOT compatible with firmware version 2.0

16GB white with a serial number newer than 1426 (produced after the 26th week of 2014) SHOULD work with the new upgraded version.

Where do you check for the serial nummer? The one I find under About tablet mainly has a bunch of upper case letters in there with a few numbers thrown in (never more than 2 numbers in a row) so I can't see a date from that.

1439 for me so the update should work but until the wake up with gesture and/or a safe way to keep the increased app partition size intact, I don't see the need to do it.

On "supposed to be 2.0" is shown 12 August 2014 version 1.8

In any case "double tap to wake up" doesn't work...

According to chinese developer, only white model with serial no. after U65GT16GB 1426 XXXXXXX is compatible with this firmware.
32 GB black and white vesion produced before U65GT16GB 1426 XXXXXXX (year2014week26) have different touchscreen controller and touch capability will be lost, restored only after an flash with 1.8 FW posted in my G Drive account.
I don't look to this "thing" like an official FW, maybe kernel is interesting for guys with suitable tablets for testing (maybe solves some older problems like battery percentage reported wrong, NTFS and exFat unavailable for external SD's).

I got the same conclusion yesterday triyng to translate the Chinese discussion with google! It was really difficult to understand...but in the end we arrived at the same point!

My white tablet is 1427... I will probably try it!

Any ideas when this (V2.0 ROM) will be available for OTA? I bought Cube Talk 9x for my GF and she is not going to let me flash it cause I bricked my own very cheap tablet before ^^". I managed to get it back later but without wifi... My GF would be really happy if this is going to fix the battery percentage issue.

You will probably never see this update as a real ota.
Cube "OTA" is generally a file update.zip downloaded from cube and installed from recovery.
