CPU Current Frequency 1859 MHz
If someone here is on older FW like 1.04/1.05 maybe cold check this...will be awesome for us.
That explains increased Antutu score up to 41200 pts. after 1.06 update.

After 1.06 has come OTA entire system responsiveness/performance was increased...like a jet engine, at least that is what I feel right now.
Here is another sofware with octacore support, 3C CPU Manager...an tremendous result
1.85 GHZ

If this will be confirmed, explains what was in previous posts about reboots...
CPU's are not equal in stability on low volteges and this encreased frequency paired with low voltages could lead to some instability/reboots.
Maybe CUBE engineers could make some fine tunning in this area at kernel level and all of us will be happy.
I have not seen an single reboot on my T9 until now.
Yep. I have had a few reboots as well. I had thought it might be some app I had loaded.

Somewhat glad to know it the CPU running faster, but I think I have noted it running a bit warmer.

Aren't there some apps out there to regulate speed on a rooted tab?

On "Reading CPU scaling range", I received always "failed".
I'm thinking about what CPU info transmit vs. what frequencies really are...maybe that could lead to this scaling range reporting failure.

I loaded 3C CPU, and I am doing 1.85 as well. There is a govenor feature with that app, but I have not tried it yet.

Why not root? vRoot was pretty easy!

Root screwed OTA ability once...was done through KingRoot only to backup my NVRAM.
I have tried multiple times..for an working OTA I have reflashed V1.04.

Just for info, I upgraded to 1.06 using OTA ...the root went away, but was easily regained with VRoot.

Now I see a couple of differences:
governor has been changed from "hotplug" to "interactive". Hotplug is a LOT better than interactive, so I suggest you all to switch back to hotplug governor.

Cube performed an overclock to increase maximum frequency of the tablet. This kind of overclock is a delicated activity, because on tablet is often necessary to increase voltage too to stay stable at maximum frequency, this is why some users experienced reboots. For who have had reboot I suggest to use an app to fix maximum frequency to 1.69Ghz.

Both these actions from Cube, in my opinion, have the only objective to increase score on benchmarks, in normal use hotplug grant good overall performance with a good battery life, where interactive mode leave all cores always on even when unnecessary!

I understand.
Now we have to see in what FW Cube has started to overclock CPU.
If someone is with older FW 1.05/1.06 could check this.

Hotplug?

Which app are you using? I do not see a hotplug governor with 3C CPU manager. I selected the Ondemand governor but am not sure if I am using it right yet.

Thanks

I hope we will receive Lollipop since I have seen a few chinese phones with latest MTK SoC running Android 5. That means Mediatek already has cooked drivers.
Maybe is just a matter of time.
About missing icons..change launcher with Nova.

I dont see the point in producing a 64bit tablet without plans to upgrade it to Lollipop down the road.

At least thats what I think and why I bought it instead of the 9x.

So will you try to get parts and do the repair yourself, or if you do send it back ...is there a possibility they would put it all back together without the matte film?

I wish you well.
I got my T9 back today. All sorted. It cost me about $15 for the new front, repair costs and postage. They left the film off as I requested, so now the grainy issue is sorted, the screen looks great!

15$ is very cheap, congrats.
I suppose your screen is gorgeous now.
If you are on a older firmware like 1.04/1.05 maybe you can check with CPUz what CPU frequencies shows(1.69 or 1.85GHz) and governor (hotplug or interactive).
Thank's.

Isn't interactive better than hotplug?

At least that's the impression I'm getting after reading about governors.

I have no ideea. Giouncino is/was kernel expert on Pipo tablets and maybe can tell us what differences are.
Still I belive 1.06 is more power hungry and a little too hot in middle right when on portrait mode.
In 1.02 I belive, case was much colder and battery lasted more time.
Still I'm not very convinced about that and try to understand in what FW Cube has started to overclock CPU to 1.85GHz.
