When I press near the edges it works for few seconds.
I send it back. During the new chinese year
    Hate it happened.

One of my tablet buys was a Ramos model that was highly rated at the time, but had a hardware issue and had to be returned. It took a while to get back.

Now I look for a vendor with closer return if needed. I found that with geekbuying this time with the T9. Thankfully it was never needed.

Anyone else reading have to send their T9 back?

Hello, another one T9 owner here I have some questions:
      1. Do you noticed that battery temperature sensor is not working and shows always 25°C? That's weird because i think battery temp is important. My other MTK device even turns off when battery overheats on heavy usage in hot air conditions.
      2. Why is so important to backup IMEI? MTK Droid does not allow me to backup(disabled button), so is it enough to write down my IMEI to text file? or there are some other must backup files?
      3. Anyone tried to flash stock rom from manufacturers page? is everything ok with these files?
As I can see there is only 11 out of 22 partitions in the scatter file
      Code:

      4. Maybe anyone have increased app storage? because this tablet does not have EBR files I can't find way to do that. Maybe anyone knows similar device that does not have EBR files either and have their app storage increased? Maybe link2sd could be temporary solution for now to move apps to external sd card :/

      5. Also as I can see MTK Droid does not support this chipset so it must be updated to work properly, anyone knows if developers working on that or if there is anything how we can help them?

        Hi
for those who are wondering about the Teclast T98 performance, please have a look here:

reviews: the three below are in Spanish, sorry about my review but hope I'll improve my english enough to make an english one. Not taking these in account, the overall summary is that It has no weaknesses, apart from being pricey.

        (hispatablets)

The screen is outstanding, bright, good angle vision and no lag at all. I can vouch for that screen reliability.

Any question about this I would be glad to answer, but I think this new Teclast T98 thread is a more suitable place to answer.

        Bye.

Does anyone use the tablet with AUTO BRIGHTNESS mode?

Mine doesnt seem to be working because it doesnt dim and for the last couple days the screen was very dim and would not change.
I tried unchecking auto brightness and move around the slider and the brightness changed and putting it on auto it would dim again and it didnt matter what I did its always dim.

I tried to do the calibration in the mtk engineer mode but the calibration always fail.
Min value is either 0 or 1 and Max value is always 0

I changed the threshold high to 800 and threshold low to 600 and rebooted and it seems to have done something as the brightness is now at max in auto mode but it still doesnt dim, and in the calibration still fails.

What does your sensor mode gives on your tablet?

Is this a rom problem? Hardware problem? Would root solve it? Factory reset?

          What are my options?

Try to download https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...droidsensorbox and watch light sensor values in different lighting. If they are not changing probably your sensor is broken.
Also make sure your light sensor is not covered by hand or case.

It was not working and then I rebooted the T9 and the light sensor is working.

Will keep an eye for the auto brightness to see if it works

I am not having issues with brightness, but I have not loaded an app. to try and enhance this ..just relying on what came with the tablet.

First thing I would try is to get back to basics ..dis-associate or delete any app that would attempt to control the brightness function. Afterward the app mentioned by Cyborger might help if you are still having an issue.

Most tablets I have had have had some issues handling brightness through the on board sensor. The Cube, I might say ...is the best I have had to date. It functions as well as the wife's LG. Have not compared it to my iPad2.

The light sensor is working but somehow it gets stuck so it stops working until I reboot the device.

Not sure what is causing the problem.

Seems like guys from 4PDA are struggling to port some working CWM/TWRP recoveries from Cube T7 to our Cube T9. Maybe is a little hope there in the end.

                        Working TWRP

TWRP was succesfully ported to our T9.
All credits goes to @ hanuma50 from 4PDA forum and to @helgiman (4PDA) for testing this.
This has opened the path to custom FW and various patches...and the opportunity to make a full backup.
TWRP .rar file will be posted here.

Bit of an obscure question but I don't suppose anyone got this paired with an ion iCade? I'm desperate for a good 9.7" android tablet for my Ion iCade. Bought the 9X last year but couldn't get it to pair over bluetooth and don't want to waste another €200.....thanks!

                          Comment

I've read that iCade can be paired only with Apple devices....
Bluetooth on Apple is different (as usual)

Well three months into 2015 and no new firmware from Cube for the T9 so I guess that they have moved on to something else and we should not expect anymore updates for this tablet.

I am disapointed, I got it because with a 64bit processor it would get Lollipop otherwise whatsthe point of a 64bit processor...

Oh well, it still works with some glitches...

Thats the problem with chinese tablets imo, the support lifespan is so short.
