Works now. I want to mention that vdubt25 mispronounced a name in the video. Stane1983 built this Android ROM last year and Megatron merely extends what he did.

Thanks superfreak 79 for the fabulous M8 Rom,another issue besides the others already reported is that I couldn't update the lbrtmp library,the data folder wasn't created, so some live tv streaming channels can't be watched. Thanks.

I have a Matricom G-Box Midnight Q and there is a definite problem with the remote shut off button and also the app Reboot Manager that shuts down the box. The shutoff just reboots the unit and no way to turn it off. I have three members at my site and all have the same problem.......

Now if this is a problem with the m8 ROM or the config of the box is still a mystery.

I tried the new Rom from Matricom and I have seen no improvement so went back to the M8 Rom.

I don't think that's a common issue... try manually wiping from recovery and then write the firmware from recovery too

Hi tup14, it sounds like this ROM is not fully customized for the box you're using. Try manually wiping from recovery and reflash. If that doesn't fix it, then I doubt it will be solved without a new custom build for that particular box - which is something Matricom should be doing

I completely wiped the box and did a factory install from that new Rom Matricom put out last week.

What is strange was that the first time I installed M-8 Rom I could turn the box off and on with the remote button..there wasn't a command present but wold just shut down and restart by clicking the on button.

Others as posted here were getting that black screen and would have to unplug the power cord to get it to restart.

After I did that test Rom I had the same problem so as you know I decided to go ahead and install the Matricon's new rom. but seen no difference with Kodi and had issues with other things. There format sucks so decided to go back to the original Rom-M-8 and that's where I'm at now and except for having to leave the box on it works better then anything else.
Yes Matricom should be doing a lot of things but not the band aid fix they came out with
I replied to another post here today and really would love to see what the top three box's are used here among the members. It's really hard to decipher from marketing ploys to what actually is a good product.

A good poll would really help on deciding what my next box will be

Thanks for you replay, sorry I didn't explain correctly my issue, I was looking for the the folder where lbrtmp is located to update it (Android: /data/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/lib/librtmp.so) but it wasn't created.This is what I found on the Kodi webpage: Sometimes, when websites that host the content for those add-ons change things,a new version of librtmp is needed for the add-ons/streams to work again.

Is it stable on T8 box ? And is clock issue resolved. ? Any other bug which is worth Knowing before flashing to T8?
