Just want to report it, I can't see an issues link on his GitHub...

    Thanks

    Karl
I didn't test it, thanks for pointing that out. I'll post a build with fixed HEVC support today.

Thanks so much I have come from android and was running .15, so I guess my only option is for the testing release (using mysql db) and was really sad to see 265 not working be great if you can get it fixed

          Hello kszaq,

          Thanks for your reply.

First: sorry for promising a "lshw" earlier; I simply assumed that there'd be one on the device. There isn't; sorry. Nor is there hwinfo or dmidecode, so I'm kind of reduced to cat'ing various things under /proc and /sys ...

This is what I can glean from my device:

          output of "cat /proc/devices": http://mk808bplus.s3.amazonaws.com/cat-proc-devices.txt
          dmesg: http://mk808bplus.s3.amazonaws.com/dmesg.txt
          output of "find /sys" : http://mk808bplus.s3.amazonaws.com/find-sys.txt
          lsmod: http://mk808bplus.s3.amazonaws.com/lsmod.txt

cat /sys/bus/sdio/devices/*/vendor => 0x024c cat /sys/bus/sdio/devices/*/device => 0xb723 I'm now going to flash some of the experimental stuff you linked to, but let me know if you need anything else.

          Cheers,

          kgi

Version 5.0.1 played without that problem, however I could not mount my external NAS. Version 5.0.3 worked very well and could mount my NAS. Versions after 5.0.3, gives me the "signal loss" at every change of channels. So, I am running 5.0.3. Perhaps you can see what the differences are between those versions, must be some kind of hand shake issue..

              Otherwise, excellent OS, thanks.
Great to see this setup is working for you. You have no issues with 1080i mpeg2 live T.V. streams? Has anyone tried using server.wmc and pvr.wmc?

                  Hi kszaq,

I figured out, what is the network problem with the new build with my mxq.
My network in router assign ip via mac adress because of give the same ip adress everytime.
But the new build at every restart make for ethernet card different mac adress.
This is not so good. 5.0.8. Build not change adapter mac adress at restart.

Other problem, .when watch other device's livetv recorded program with mxq then sound break 3-4 times per minutes.
Audio: mpeg2audio aq and vq 20% in info panel.

kgi thank you for your results. Please also report your results with the experimental version.

envagyok In which version did the MAC address work properly for the last time? This is something I need to know as I don't have a MXQ (yet) to test. As for the video, you need to post a sample.

I dont have problem at all before 5.95.1 with everytime changed mac adress i think. I cannot prove it because i dont have installed on mxq 5.0.8., and i not notice this problem before.
I deleted the recordings, but i record today again a tv show, i cut from a piece and upload today evening.

I am afraid that it won't fix the problem since in may be in USB driver. Our devices use dwc_otg driver which has been reported to have issues with media devices: http://forum.odroid.com/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=8106

I am afraid that to make tuners work properly we would need to port changes that have been made to RPi drivers.
I have tested it and the issue remains. Does somebody else have this message from dmesg when the usb stick is inserted?
                        [ 26.421821@0] usb 1-1.3: DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 0 out of range (44250000..867250000)
Seems that problem is really with USB driver.

No issues at all, all my 1080i and 720P mpeg 2 TS live streams play flawlessly. I am running tvheadend server on my MK808B+ with this OpenELEC from kszaq. My PVR created on this stick is shared with several of my Android boxes attached to other TVs and they all play well. I use two HDHomeRun tuner boxes (4 tuners) for my OTA signal and use my Synology DS211j NAS as my recording destination. I am using my 32 gig micro SD card for my live TV buffer that gives me the fast forward and rewind function.
Best $35 I have ever spent for creating a stand alone DVR.

BTW, since you are going to use wmc pvr, I assume you have a HDHomeRun Prime with copy protection. It should work fine.

I must say, I am VERY impressed with the great work done by kszaq, codesnake on the software and the mk808b plus . You have a small, slick, low powered setup. I am surprised that little mk808b plus with only a gig of ram can handle the backend duties for a multi room setup, must be OpenElec magic along with your NAS. I am really tempted to order a mk808b plus and ethernet adapter just to test it out. I have Comcast who along with other providers are starting to switch HD content to mpeg4 to make room for 4k. Do you know if the mk808b plus can handle 1080i mpeg4? The level of mpeg4 that Fios switched to for HD is not working on the Xbox 360 in Extender mode.

                              Hi kszaq and everyone,

Awesome seeing how this project has developed. Even OE6 now
I kind of switched to using my FireTV more though, as I was watching quite some US TV-Series, that seem to be affected by this bug:

                              - 29.97 progressive videos stutter

I think this was more a generic AMLogic bug, right?
Any idea if and when this might get fixed?

                              Thanks,
                              freezer

For the price, it makes a great whole home DVR distribution. Not sure about mpeg4, never tried it. This stick is both a PVR server and client and never struggles. If you do decide to get this stick to tinker with, make sure you get the correct USB Ethernet adapter.

Edit: This is the Ethernet adapter that I purchased that works great for my MK808B+ , http://plugable.com/products/usb2-e1000. I had a couple of other Ethernet adapters, but they did not work very well.
I bought mine from Blinq for $15, but they are out of stock now.
