Firstly, thanks for the effort being put into this kszaq, much appreciated. Quick note on the jackmate version, on my Beelink MXQ, when first loaded SSH is disabled. Trouble is, when I enable SSH and reboot, my mac address changes (and every reboot after that) and I pick up a new DHCP address, not a big deal as I can set a static. Just caused some confusion when my Kodi remote app kept not finding the MXQ. If I uncheck SSH, the mac stays static, very strange.

I've just flashed the latest version for the HD18Q and it's still working fine. Now that you have separate versions for the different MXQ's I was wondering if you could include the HD18Q remote.conf into the build. I also have a recovery.img which works with this remote and a bootloader.img which allows the unit to be powered off and on properly. I've included all of the files in the zip.

I don't have an MXQ yet and I couldn't reproduce it for my MK808B+. Can you confirm that you are not connecting over WiFi? Can you post a dmesg when the MAC is and is not changing?

MK809+: reported to be working.
MK808B+: this ROM is made for this device and this is the only one that I have. There is also a version for Realtek 8723BS WiFi clones.
MXQ: works unless it's a clone.

Can you please upload a photo of your remote?

The remote looks exactly like the one in the link but I have to add my remote.conf to the config folder to make mine work. Maybe some other all-black owners can comment?

This is the remote that comes with the all-black MXQ:



It looks similar to the beelink one but it is definitely not the same. It has a couple of learning ir programmable buttons toward the top of the remote for tv control. I also have to put the remote.conf in the config folder for it to work.
