Hi man, thanks for the ROMs.

I've tried these and codesnake's ROMs on the Vensmile MXV, but all of them only work when the power button is pressed all the time, it kind of inverts the power button function (pressed all the time = on, released = off). Do you have any clue how to fix this?

Hi, I've successfully installed the MXQ ROM on a MXV device, besides the "must hold power button" the ROM works well with the device, the only problem I'm having is that the remote doesn't work.

I've copied the remote.conf from the original box and was wondering if it could be added to your builds, here's the attachment.

          Thanks

I don't own this box. I am curious if the switch behavior changes if:
Remove box's power lead....press power button, keep pressed and then plug in power lead, let go of power button.
            Just curious.

Centurione_01 Confirmed the successful update on the fabulous MK808B+, many thanks again

All is working correctly but unfortunately, after further inspection, it seems my issue with DTS passthrough is not so easy to solve, as it probably belongs to my LG tv not being allowed to pass the signal from HDMI to SPDIF (model is 55LB561V). I'm currently converting all my video library in AC3 with popcorn audioconverter, as a workaround

                Hello there,

I have a MXQ Box, this bought here.
                http://www.****.de/itm/MXQ-Amlogic-S...wAAOSwI-BWJHZS

Where can I install it OpenELEC?

I have already tried to perform the following, unfortunately without success.
This ROM exists thanks to lots of hard work put into porting OpenELEC to Amlogic devices by codesnake (http://www.freaktab.com/member.php?44460-codesnake). This is

                > MXQ zip (for fresh installs, extract to sd and use "toothpick" method): http://d-h.st/p71p
The MXQ box, the memory card at boot time is not read.

                Do you have an idea?
                Thank you

First of all, you should try using a HD18Q build. MXQ build is mostly for the Beelink MXQ.

Can you elaborate more what is the error? Do you get an error of SD card not able to be mounted/read or you just get a bootloop? If it is the second one, the recovery that comes in the zip is not valid for your box. If the recovery that comes in the HD18Q build is not working either, you can look for a recovery that works with your box in some of the many different HD18Q ROMs that are available in the Internet.

Alternatively, you can use the "Update" application on the stock ROM to flash the ZIP that has been extracted to the SD card.

                    Hello there,
yes this is the first. I get error message:
SD card not able to be mounted / read

I use 4 GB SD Card

Can I fix this like any?

How i can use the MXQ sdcard imag ?

                      Thanks for replying.

I've already tried this, after it has past about three seconds after I turn it on, no matter what I do, as soon as I let the power button go it turns off...

Hey cassioac , Are you using MXQ or HD18Q build? Besides the "hold power button pressed", is WiFi working for you?
                        .

I'm using the MXQ build, but both have the "must hold power button" problem.

Wifi works great, only remote doesn't work (at least until now that's the only problem I detected).

EDIT: I have to connect to wifi manually at every reboot, it starts with status "failure" so I have to manually press connect, had forgot about that.

TheRealJohnGalt and kszaq I've got your Openelec FINALY working on my All Black MXQ (Board markings S805_MXQ_V03) after lots of reading and learning

It appears the bootloader.img in the HD18Q update.zip is not compatible with the S805_MXQ_V03 board (results in Brick with no access to recovery...only recovered using USB Burn tool).

If I change the bootloader.img with a known working one for this board and resign the zip with ainol zip signer it works perfect (Wifi Also). If I then copy over the remote.conf to/storage/.config/ , once openelec has been installed, the remote works (apart from the OK button which im looking into)

I have attached the bootloader.img for the S805_MXQ_V03 board and its remote.conf

Im not sure if you guys want to link to this post from post 1 to let other V3 owners know of this problem.

TheRealJohnGalt on your MXQ build, wifi gets an IP but once connected it will not get internet access, let me know what logs you need. Also can you build with PVR addons, they are not included..

thanks for these builds, cant wait to see what the future hold

I'm still testing your OE6 build on my Beelink S85, it seems there's no openvpn config on that OE, i installed the unofficial openvpn addon but it only adds a binary and still nothing on the interface.
Am i missing something or do you know if it's missing from your build ?

I'm also still fighting with the keymap files to disable shutdown but no luck, kodi logs show it loads my profile kemaps but doesn't seem to use them as overrides, advancedsettings.xml override works though, so maybe it's something different with OE6 i don't know about..

Finally i've noticed something else, when kodi is stopped (killed or through systemctl), there's still a display signal sent through the hdmi, keeping the TV alive, is there a way to fix that ? I haven't noticed any X running but OE is so different from my usual distro that i'm a bit lost.
                                thx
