MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

Hi, i am new here and i just bought a MK808(non b i think) and i would like to know how to identify if it's a clone so i can know which rom to flash.Thanks in advance

Thanks,well it's is a genuine mk808b it came 4.2.2 it's better to keep this version or flash the finless 1.7? also when i connect to wifi all are fine i can browse the internet flawlessly but when i try to connect to play store or youtube app it doesnt let me it says something about the connection...

P.S flashed fineless 1.7 all good now i flashed the 1080p kernel but i didn't like the performance so i reflashed 720p and its so smooth thnx finless for this awesome rom

I own a MK808b Android mini PC and a wireless keyboard with touch pad. I am having problems watching movie as the applications I have don't seem to work well with the keyboard. When I press the right left up down arrows nothing much happens in terms of fast forwards, rewind, pause etc. I have to press FN Key + F7 to pause etc etc. What application can I use to that I can use my current wireless keyboard and easily use the keys to pause, play, fastforward, rewind etc ?


second question - what sort of remote can I buy with my MK808b device to enable this as a TV so that I can easily do what I normally do with my DVD remote control ?

There are dozens of different remote controls on ****, DX or dhgate.

It is just what do want, air mouse , rc11 , xbmc remote or an app that functions as remote on your mobile phone.

I guess what I'm looking for now some way of converting my wireless keyboard so that it works as a remote control while I'm watching movies in MX player or any other app. NOw the problem starts when I'm watching a movie in MX player I have to 1) bring the wireless keyboard back from sleep 2) tap the touch pad for the mouse arrow then press the forward button on pause or 3) press function keys to go to fast forward etc buttons within the keyboard itself.
I have one of those mini RF wifi keyboards from ****.

I was wondering where I could find the kernel source for this rom. I've tried to locate it but didn't succeed. I would like to compile uvcvideo to build me a little webcam server so I can watch my cats when I'm from home :|. Also I would like to compile ftdi_sio so I can connect my arduino.

However for the MK808 kernel sources are available like from Omegamoon's blog.

Skype has an auto answer with video option for android nowdays...this could be used???
Also , last year i picked up an IP webcam with a pan & tilt function , IR illumination for night time, wireless & ethernet enabled , motion detection , two way audio , It can even send you an email alert if you want it.
This unit cost me $56 with free delivery....they're even cheaper now.

I want too to find the complete source for the stock kernel, but rockchip does´nt give it to us. If you want to compile it you can try with omegamoon sources. If you have a mk808(rk901) original they will work very well, if you have other stick you will loose wifi and BT (if it is present).

While mounting seems to be automatic on the mk808 ROMS---both Finless' and stock---unmounting seems to be a different thing altogether. In many ROMs, you can can go to settings--->storage--->$YourDevice and choose to unmount, but this option seems to have disappeared in most JellyBean ROMs.

I use the free StickMount app from the PlayStore to mount and unmount USB mass storage devices. It fills the missing gap that most JB ROMs have.

I don't think the stickmount work...
Cos once I unmount from stick mount, I still access the usb thumb drive at /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK0/udisk0
..any you comfirm?

Bob please help.

Bob can you please add the larger partition parameters files with the MK808b original 1.7 rom.
I flashed the 1.7 to my MK808b original and the partition size changed from 2gb os/6gb apps 8gb total on the stock rom to 2gb os /2gb apps 4gb total on the 1.7 rom??
Now I will need to reflash again with the correct parameters.

Never Mind Bob I ripped one out of the MK908 1.4 roms and edited it for the MK808b.
Works perfectly now so thanks much and very good job on this one!!
