It make me think your not really pressing the button or for some reason it is not working.
I suggest popping the covers off your stick and make sure.
Bob
I though of popping the cover out but I'm pretty sure I'm pressing the button. If not, why would the unit go into the recovery screen instead of just booting normally when powered by the computer through the OTG? That is what happens if nothing is pressed... I could also distinctly feel it being released. Plus, the blue LED would take a couple of seconds to light up and then... recovery screen. Did you guys look at that thread I referred to? There are some images there.
If someone comes across one of these units and figures it out then please PM me, OK? But for the sake of it I will pop the cover tonight and give it another go, why not...
Thanks again for all the support!

I;m not sure about your unit, when I use the reset button to get it to flash mode, the blue LED did not light up during the whole process of flashing. It will light up when the flashing is done and it will go into reboot mode. BTW, I'm using a Notebook to do the flashing.

Hi guys,
I have recently received an mk808b which I then identified as the sunvel clone.
In the short period of time I used the factory firmware the only problem was I couldn't install any apps from the play store, but I did not try to fix this as I bought the device to install custom software.
So after having trouble with the batchtool I got it working by toggling mtp storage then erased nand flashed the ROM and successfully booted still powered from the otg port from the flashing process everything works including Bluetooth which I assume means I identified the right clone?
I then powered off the device but now it will not boot from the USB power port the blue light comes on for a few seconds then turns off (no signal output) however the device boots from the otg port and seams to work perfectly

I have mk808 and this ROM is definitely the fastest one.I have only one issue and I m not sure if this is an issue at all.
So,when I m watching YouTube videos in full screen, the upper an lower bars, are gone and reappear on its own after 3 secs.is this a problem?is this something that I can get rid off ?is something that I missed?
The only solution,is to check auto hide system bar but I don't want to use this feature.

Thanks.
And droidmote is working with touch profile with same concept, so this should also work.
I hope somebody come up and port or extract required apps from these new devices ROM.

Hi I'm really interested in using the Finless rom with my Uhost2. Unfortunately non of the MK808b models apply to uhost2.
I've taken apart the uhost2 and found out that it uses rtl8723as chipset for wifi/bt.
Is there any chance that we can get a finless mod with rtl8723as?
Thank you very much

upgraded my MK808 to the latest 1.7c from 1.6 and it is much faster. I really like it but I lost my usb to eth dongle. Well, not lost, but it locks up and will not do dhcp. I need to set a static IP but it locks up after a few minutes of use. The dongle is a KY-RD9700 which if I remember right had been added to the 1.6 version per a request.
It's working, I had it connected to a powered hub, an old one 1.1 not 2.0 to not drain the power from the MK808. The non-powered 2.0 usb hub works great, but draws power from MK808. Connected the usb to eth adapter to otg port and running good but has a limited speed, about 5-6 mbps throughput. Need to buy anohter dongle AX88772B for 80-90 mbps throughput. THanks for a great ROM.
NOTE: I am having problems connecting external mass storage device (1 TB HD). Is there something I need to do? It use to work with 1.6 using a usb mass starage app from google store.Last edited by gpharos; 02 June 2013, 23:54.

You could try to load the Reboot APK and use that to reboot to the bootloader. Not ideal but it may get you arround the problem...
