Thanks for that information. Windows 10 has a setting somewhere to do the back up, just don't ask me where, I am still learning Winders 10.

I use mine for about 8 hours a day and have suffered no issues with regards to temperatures slowing things down or throttling.

It varies but at it's hottest, I used the box in a room temp of around 28C and inside an enclosed TV cabinet, which would likely make it even warmer.

Is anyone using a NAS? If so, does it show up under Windows 10 file explorer. This appears to be a problem with Windows 10, and it is causing me problems.

Seems like Z8300 is somehow related to N-series. On Intel website there is documentation for Intel® Pentium® and Celeron® Processor N3000 Product Families and Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8300 Processor.

Anybody tried to install the following drivers:

Trebor, I have done all that as a work around and it works for Kodi and some other apps. But it does not work for some other things, like mapping my HDHomeRun tuners in Plex or Emby. I spent several hours on the phone with Microsoft and talked to at least 8 or 9 different people. The final solution they told me was that I needed Window 10 drivers from the makers of my NAS, which is total bull.

I use Plex Server on a PC as server with WIn10 with my WD Duo Nas(off sorts)
As it detects I guess its easy .
MS must have dabbled and the function you seek is hidden/disabled or oops they forgot.
Will watch with interest for the final out come.

As mentioned I do have it working on a win10 Laptop presently home vesion.

Try sharing the folder that holds the media and not the root of the drive if not already.

my Y: drive = Y:\TV

So in Plex when adding and I browse it can see Y: that is all the DIR of the Shows

I just received my Teclast x98 pro Tablet. Teclast X98 Pro Tablet PC Intel X5 - Z8500 Quad Core 2.24GHz 9.7 inch QXGA IPS Screen Windows 10 + Android 5.0 64GB

Win10/android 5.1 etc...

So once setup I installed Plex Media Centre
I shared the media files on the tablet as mentioned above: as in y:\media
Set up new media type TV
Browsed with tablet to NAS in Plex found files, "y:" downloaded/synced to files to DB then did the meta data etc.
Played on Tablet from server fine

On my new Zidoo X6 using android Plex, I set Plex up to a manual setup to look at the Teclast X98 tablet Plex as apposed to the other Plex on laptop
that worked I now of two Plex servers.

Found the Media server found the files and played 100%
Working well
